PC - Microsoft Store Version Audio Crackling

Hello everyone,

I re-installed Halo Infinite on my PC this weekend (I mostly play on my Xbox consoles, so didn’t put it back on when I formatted my PC back in May), and I’ve noticed in the game’s menus, the music has audio crackle and static now.

Thankfully this does not happen in Campaign or Multiplayer itself, it’s simply happening in the main menus, but I’m curious if anyone has any troubleshooting tips?

It did not do so when I had the game installed from Dec. 2021 into May 2022, and I’m playing on the same system, no hardware changes.

Thanks.

Try verifying your game files.

Re-install your sound drivers and see if that helps!

Peace! :fist_right: :fist_left:

I had a similar problem for the MCC campaign, I had to lower the bitrate on my default sound device until the crackling stopped. It might also be because the menu uses like 90% CPU for some reason and you are getting audio interference to your sound card.

Thanks for the tips all.

My game files are good, my Realtek audio drivers are good, though I haven’t tinkered with bitrate.

Since this is a nusaince issue and the only game I’m having issues with, I’ll wait as I’ll be formatting my PC in November with the November 2022 Windows update, so everything will be a clean install and we’ll see what happens.

I’ve tried every troubleshooting tip out there and still have this issue. Spatial audio will also randomly cut out too in PC. I currently have an open support ticket.

When they reply to you, I’d love to know what they say and what other steps they have you try.
