[PC] How do I run Halo 5 forge in fullscreen?

Fullscreen windowed mode DESTROYS my framerate. Like a 50% decrease. How do I run the game in fullscreen? There has to be a way!

Do you have anything running in the background? I’ve found with my laptop, Forge runs better when there’s nothing else up.

No. I still get 40fps on 1080p with everything maxed out, just from past experience I always have worse performance when playing in borderless windowed.

Well if your framerate is crap when running max graphics, ever thought about, I don’t know, turning down the graphics?

My specs:
Intel i7 4770k
16 gb ddr3 cl7 g.skill trident x
gigabyte geforece gtx 960 g1 oc (4gb gddr5)

Getting 20 fps at the lowest resolution.

MAYBE, I DUNNO, TURN DOWN THE GRAPHICS???

i’m sorry i’ve been so rude, but it’s true that games in borderless window run way worse, and we can’t run it in true fullscreen because microsoft won’t give us that option in any game (for example, Forza 6 can’t run in fullscreen either)

You have to wait until Microsoft gives you that option, if they ever do. I think they were suppose to implement it in UWP games, eventually. I get stuttering in any game that I try to run borderless window mode in, but oddly that’s not the case with Halo 5… for me, anyway. I have halfway decent hardware, though.

Yeah me too, I downloaded Forza 6 and was all exited to play in Nvidia Surround at 3880 x 1080p @60Hz!
But when I loaded up the game it was…1080p… Is this what I can expect from ALL new games from Microsoft? They have to control everything about the games they release now? It was the same with Halo 2 for Vista. It either auto-detected your monitor resolution or just rendered at 720p if u tried to use a custom res…
