PC HALO INFINITE FLIGHT (FEEDBACK)

Listed below is feedback for the current flight with only the map, Live Fire. More will be posted if issues come up with Recharge or Bazaar

Game runs at a solid 60-80 fps. Average is around 70ish, gameplay otherwise is fantastic. Bots often seem to idle in places without power weapons and not fight back, but that may just be because of the low difficulty they are currently on. Game frequently crashes, at random times, hard to say what causes it, but it doesn’t seem to harm the pcs ability to close it with task manager. Matches are somewhat hard to get into upon some start ups and kick you back to the main menu. Not sure if it is because of high traffic, but sometimes customization and battle pass do not load. During the battle pass being glitched, Academy weapon drills seem to take extra time to even load the options to select a weapon. Also game settings seemed to be reset at the beginning of said glitch too. Sound appears to be extremely low (sometimes) with enemies and friendlies, but the player’s audio is loud enough and works fine.

I agree and have experienced all of these glitches on pc as well.

Halo

The game runs smoothly, even on max settings with minimal issue, I’ve yet to experience more than 1 crash a day. Aside from bugs and technical issues I only have a couple issues. The sprinting feels very slow, as if you’re not moving much faster at all. As for the sidearm, it’s a lot weaker than the magnum of prior games.

I had only a single crash in my sessions (some connection issue). Apart from that, game ran as smooth as possible on my series x. I thought the sidekick could be a little stronger but overall weapons are well balanced. Didn’t care much for the sniper, since I found it a little annoying to properly aim with it. Bots are OP as hell LOL. Great game at this point for a tech preview.

The game runs pretty good! The gameplay is very reminiscent of previous halo games, and I love that! It also has stuff that newer players would enjoy! The sprint IMO is perfectly balanced and as a longtime halo fan, that’s a hard bullet to bite, but it felt great! Not too fast but just balanced.

i will say, that I noticed that you’re only detectable on the radar while sprinting which is my biggest issue. Seeing that sprinting is only a 2% speed increase from normal running, there is little incentive to actually sprint instead of normal walking. On top of which, the fact that you’re not detectable while normal walking makes crouching pointless other than to -Yoink!-. But seriously I think normal walking speeds should be detectable on radar and crouching be used to hide from radar.

i playd the flight on pc and i think it felt really smooth, i got around 120 fps avrage on low settings and i got a 2080 ti and i9 9900k, but hope the game can get more optimized for better performance ingame, i liked all the weapons without the sniper and the gravity hammer, the sniper felt really heavy and hard to use, and the gravity hammer felt so slow with the animation, and here is some bugs that happend ingame when playing, Bug 1 was if 2 ppl pick up a weapon at the same time the weapon dublicate and crash the server, bug 2 sometimes when u pick up new ammo with empty mag u get a bug where u cant fire the gun, the fix for it is the switch weapon to 2nd gun and back again then it fixes the problem, bug 3 sometimes when the granade explode it crates this bright flash fx so u get blinded for 1 sec, bug 4 when u climb the edges sometimes ur spartan glitch so u fall down again, that was all bugs i got inn to, so now the maps, my fav map was bazaar i loved how the map felt and looked,
Recharge was also a map i really liked it felt like halo maps should be… same with bazaar map, but Live Fire was the map i dislike mostly because i think i looked really simple and boxy, and the map got really fast boaring, but i really happy with this Halo Infinite flight, this is how i want halo to feel like when playing, i have playd halo since halo 2 and i got the classic halo feeling mixed with modern feeling of the game, i like all the powerups and how the work, and also like how the sprinting is in the game its really balanced i think, i looking forward for more flights to test, 343i have got far ceep up the good work ! i crash like 10 times or something the first days but overall it was good,
Bots was oky they wasent really good, the marine bots was really easy, but its cool how the bots play and how the bots work, ODST Bots felt simular to the marines bots they could need a upgrade how hard the bots is, also with the spartan bots all the bots is really simular skill, i like the academy added to halo, its perfect for new players and avrage players to test out different guns and how they work, its also good for finding ur perfect sens ingame and to get better aim, and the aim assist in this game is so much different from the other halo games, i like that its not that strong so keyboard and mouse players also have a chance

Gameplay is pretty smooth, shooting was fun. It would be nice if there are more weapon drops throughout the maps.
Biggest thing is just cosmetic issues. Loading screen being just a black screen with 3 dots is reminiscent of retro games. I’m sure that will be updated in the future.

I had an issue with several times that I was unable to start a game due to a message saying I was not the party leader, but I was the only one in my party.

Aiming on controller felt off compared to mcc…not just the aim assist but the fluidity of crosshair movement feels miles better on mcc.

Optimization is subpar this should be sorted to some extent before launch.

Same here, but sometimes during a match the audio will lower down significantly. Also the Assault rife in my opinion needs to sound more Beefy. Just like halo one, just my opinion!

Good to hear that the PC version runs relatively well. I experienced a lot of these same bugs on the Series X so at least the game is relatively similar between both console and PC. May I ask how did the game feel to play on Keyboard and Mouse? Is it better than any previous Halo game or about the same? I’d love to eventually try the game on PC even though I’m mainly a console guy.

I found that the game would crash and I was able to repeat it several times when I would be sprinting (Shift) and then switching grenades (ALT) and I looked after a crash and it seems that SHIFT + ALT changed my pc’s keyboard language from English to Japanese. I had a second language set up on my keyboard one day and forgot to remove it. I removed the second language but unfortunately forgot to test it again after the fact. On a side note, scoping with the sniper feels clunky I guess? I’m not sure what it is or if I have to just get used to it. Also, it seems like the scoping is not optimized. Otherwise, I had a blast playing the game and enjoyed the core mechanics and gameplay a lot. It seemed a hair slower than halo 5 which is a good thing and the gunfights seemed to take slightly longer than the previous games. They were similar to halo 3 in my opinion.
