PC + Controller+Aim Assist?

Hi,

I can’t find a definitive answer to this.
If I am using a pad on PC, is there actually supposed to be AA?
I’ve read it is not included in the PC version at all, then I’ve read all about the AA bug (if you touch keyboard at anytime it cancels aim assist etc), which contradicts that.

I have noticed that AA is way less than past Halo games, but am I actually playing without it as I still hit 50-60% accuracy in most games unless the lag is crazy?
I haven’t really worried about using mouse/keyboard to navigate the menu (only read about the bug yesterday), so apparently I have probably been cancelling AA according to the bug description, if there even really is any in the PC version at all?

Anybody actually know?

its not the assist, its the massive magnetism everything has. Everyone can shoot, its by design

I’m saying it doesn’t feel like there is much AA or magnetism on the PC version with a pad, it’s literally like trying to kill your team mates, so that’s why I’m asking. I understand the console version has crazy aim assist.

AA is there it just isn’t as high as it is in MCC

I nearly only play on pc with controller and there definitely is aim assist. I also played on my series x a few times albeit on a much bigger screen. But I don’t think that there is any difference

Do you think the menu bug is actually a thing? I’ve never noticed a difference in game and I use mouse all the time to fix settings in match.
I think a lot of these bug reports are bs, if the aim assist is there at all times, then I think they got it just right. Either that or I’m not noticing the difference between on & off due to my aimbot skillz.
I haven’t played the xbox version, but I read the AA is night & day, probably more bs.

I read that sometimes when you launch the pc version and you get the “Press Enter” Screen, pressing enter on the keyboard with prevent Aim Assist from working if connecting a game pad after that.

If you launch with the game pad and press start instead on that screen it has a better chance of activating.
I can tell you aim assist is very strong on PC. I use M&KB because the Aim Assist felt like cheating.

Hmm, maybe I haven’t had it on mostly then, it’s certainly hasn’t been strong for me. Unless you’re referring to the last flight when there was an AA slider you could turn up or down, I used to play H2 Vista with no AA, so it’s not beyond the realm of possibility.

I don’t know about that. But I also use my mouse to navigate through the menu sometimes and this definitely didn’t deactivate aim assist for me. I never tried to start the pc version and then connect the controller afterwards on purpose, but I don’t know if that really is a thing
