PayPal Tournament Query

Idea

I would like to know how many potential participants there would be for money tournament in Halo Wars. The idea is to get small participation fee (5-10 $) via PayPal. I believe small fee would make participants more committed to the tournament, rules and schedules.

I understand that when there is a fee there is also a huge responsibility for the organizer. I have not thought that far yet how to make it fair for everyone. Anyway, I would like to know if people are interested at all about this kind of concept.

I almost forget to mention. The participation fees would be used 100 % for prizes shared in the tournament. I would not take a dime from those.

Requirements

Mandatory:

  • PayPal account
  • TS 42 (at least)

Nice to have:

  • Capturer devide
  • YouTube channel to upload games

Afterword

I arranged Anders vs Brute Tournament a while ago. I shared prizes for 200 $ in that tournament. I hope the participants (QU1CK2K1LL, bb2010, I MarcoStyle NL and Mighty Icy) could confirm this if necessary. So… I am not trolling with this idea.

All ideas how to organize the tournament or collect participation fee are welcome.

Nah, nobody outside of this Halo Wars forum cares about Halo Wars.

Surprisingly a lot do, they just don’t come to the Halo Wars forums.
