Maybe should of said WE should all stop the corporate suits at 343 and Microsoft making us play this game a certain way and put most things behind pay walls
Oh I feel brother. I have to adhere to my principals overall despite how I might feel and this is one of those time where I completely understand the disgust with people spending money on this.
I guess I’m just an old man now but I really miss the days when you could actually unlock cosmetics in a way that showcases your accomplishments rather than with your credit card.

I bought the battlepass, but it was day zero and nobody had done the money/reward ratio calculations yet.
It was a brand new Halo experience and I was ready to support the developers, who instead kicked me in the balls and said “we’ll need more money than that, son.”
(Which I haven’t coughed up.)

Paying for something as frivolous to gameplay as cosmetics with a guaranteed and sustained big active playerbase and thus getting active and continuous development outweighs not paying for cosmetics with limited active regions.

It is big time. Its sad that if they have it this way they know people just will go for it and not have any thought what so ever. People think that it’s normal. I get it if you want to put some extra bit of your own money to help the developers but this is just awful and 343 know it. And day for Halo indeed

I think The Grafix Are Awesome!! BUT… There is now way in hell I would pay for skins that look like they came from Unreal Tournament. They do not go with the theme of Halo!!

He is worried about his own money? Y’all recklessly spending hundreds on one or two items reinforces the system and makes it so the rest of us who want cosmetics can’t buy them because we are intelligent enough not to spend $8 on the color blue or $20 for a helmet.

I can spend that on the store every month for the next 10 years and it wouldn’t be a big deal.

What an exaggeration, I wouldn’t pay $50 for a colour. But $7, if I really like the coating then absolutely I will buy it for that price.
You aren’t just buying a skin, you are supporting the game. My favourite series. That’s why I play Halo, I buy Halo stuff and I watch HCS when I can.
The game is free for everyone, you get maps for free. Ideal for people who can’t afford stuff. They can keep playing a game that gets frequent support and updates because of this.

I really hope so im the same. You do make good points and i would like to support the developers too but this is not the way. Honestly $7 isn’t too bad for me to spend every now and again, not every week or month. I’m glad that we should get new maps and game modes and gawd I hope they won’t be locked behind pay walls. But seriously $10 each month for different cosmetics each month is really much like $400 a year if you want everything. I really hope that everything can be unlocked by just playing the game and not have to spend money

10 bucks on a free game for roughly 100 cosmetic items, that’s a pretty good deal, the store I don’t agree with and the lack of earnable items is a huge problem.
But the BP is a really reasonable purchase and you’re honestly off your marble if you think otherwise.

Everything adds up. If your a fan of the game and play for the next good few years how much would you spend on it. Sorry how much would you “have” to spend because now its the only way to u lock most things. I’m sure there will be one thing you want in life like a car or a house and think back to all that money you spent in your life not just video games

It’s FTP so buying a £7.99 battlepass helps pay some way towards the development cost of the game. Not sure what the problem is here.

Just don’t buy the stuff if it’s that big of a deal for you. But witch hunting the people who do is bad form.
If anything, the amount of hate mail I’ve gotten for wearing the Chonmage armor is worth the price alone. More entertainment than I’d get going to the movies for sure. So thanks for that Halo community.
