At this point I don’t blame the big corporate suits at 343i or Microsoft. I blame the stupid people who are dipping into their own real world money and buying into this battlepass. These childbrain people don’t understand that their only feeding the cash machine and will make it worse for everyone else.
I cant support any type of microtransactions at all and it’s awful to say that they found a way to make Halo 5’s Req system look better than what we have for halo infinite.
At this point if I see anyone running around with anything that would seem cool looking like for example Emile’s full gear on with a flaming helmet. My first thought is that D##K just paid $50 for it and is supporting this horrible battlepass. Back in the day when you would see someone in epic gear, it said that they worked so hard for it, that they must of been through so much and was a hard-core gamer. Nowadays when you see someone all you think is how much did that set you back.
It’s at the point where even the basic colours are locked behind a pay wall. 343 stated that day one you will have millions of customization options…yea but how much money would you have to spend for it though. Every game I’ve played everyone looks the same. There have been 30 basic colours in Halo and out of these 30 you can have 2 combinations of 435 choices to pick from.
So 343 are going to have these basic COLOURS!! Locked behind a pay wall or so far into the battle pass you would have to play for 5 months to unlock a green and white armor coating. Even with the Reach armours, not all are available in the battlepass and ive heard rumours that the rest of Reachs armour will be locked behind these limited weekly offers and would have to pay for them and if you miss out well…you miss out. They might come back or NOT. So your halo reach’s favourite armour piece that you had for so long in halo more and likely will be locked away behind a paywall. The over all total of all of these weekly limited customization will be crazy total of $1000… what the actual F$$k 343. Im hoping that this is just a rumor and some people are just fanning the flames of this horrible battlepass. This needs to stop…
YOU NEED TO STOP. We all can’t support this so stop giving in and spending your real world money on this battlepass.
This could all be a big corporate Microsoft decision and have it be so expensive, more than what they intended it to be, all so that we would complain and they would put out a confirmation saying that “we have listened to the fans” and lower the prices to what they intended it to be in the first place and when they do everyone would act so greatful and spend even more of their money.
Take a step back and just stop.
I am willing to pay $10 for battlepass if they make it better, I will play for at least 200 hrs in 5 months. $10 spent, 200 hrs played that’s a good deal. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
I don’t find the Battle Pass a problem, It’s cheap and never expires, so I’m find with paying for it, BUT, it’s the progression system that is actively against you and ruining this game for the most part.
I don’t spend money on microtransactions at all and I do get a little bothered when I see people spending money on them for this game because of how atrocious the system is and it’s something I haven’t ever felt with any other game ever btw.
At the end of the day, it’s their money and they can do with it as they please. I don’t want other people telling me how to spend my money so I’m certainly not going to tell other people how to spend theirs. You can only control yourself, so vote with your wallet or just stop engaging with the game and find something else to play if it bothers you that much.
Game doesn’t bother me at all. Im having a lot of fun with it when I can get a decent connection to the server lol. Sorry if this came across as “trying to tell people what to spend their money with” of course people can do what they will. Only trying to explain that putting more money into this system will make it worse. Gald I’m not the only one out there who understands how awful the battlepass is how can see how it might get worse
I’m guilty for buying some bundles like the knife and the legendary coating for the samurai armor also bought season pass I’m sry can’t help it -Yoink!- looks cool
I mean I bought the $10 battlepass which has a decent selection in it to unlock but I have no intention to pay my way through the tiers or use the shop right now. If the system gets better and I save money up maybe then.
That’s how they get ya. If there was a way to earn it through playing that would be better but the only way now is to buy it which feels cringey. I know it looks cool bit the 1st thing people will think of is you spent such and such on that. Cant imagine down the line and people would put over $300 bucks into a free game and wouldn’t think it because it was $5 there and $10 then.
I think people get the point which he’s right if we show we are buying into this it won’t stop them also we are talking about a simple armor customization that’s been in the game since halo 3 now behind a paywall it sucks its this way but if this is how they will disperse them I have no choice
