Pay to win!

At first I really liked the Warzone reveal, Looked like a cool revision of BTB (I’m a big BTB fan).

I was excited until I learned that the REQ packs you are supposed to use for heavy weapons and vehicles are simply up for purchase.

So, it appears that anybody who is willing to pony up the cash can simply buy a rocket launcher or a vehicle and always maintain an in game advantage.

I would love to be proven wrong, but it looks like a pay to win micro transaction model in a full retail price AAA game!

I’ve been a Halo fan from the start but I’m not really sure why I would want to pay 69.99 + tax for a game that I will continually need to shell out money for just to be able to compete.

You can purchase REQ packs that give you a random selection of items. If you happen to get a rocket launcher or vehicle in one of those packs. You still need to have enough energy to acquire said item. In order to earn energy, you need to play the game. You cannot spawn with a power weapon or vehicle. There, you’ve been proven wrong, its not pay to win. The only in-game advantage a player will have over another is skill.

And since we’re on the topic. Even if/when you’re able to get a vehicle or power weapon, guess what. Everyone else will get stuff to. So you can pay to get a REQ pack, get lucky and get a tank, then play 3/4 of a game before you can get it. Then once you do get said tank, you get blown up immediately. Money well spent!

I would have just ignored the post and moved on instead of bumping it. If anyone spent a decent time looking into req packs they would be able to immediately tell it’s not pay to win. It’s just a click bait thread to annoy others.

It’s not pay to win, please read through some of the already established topics that deal with this subject. A few minutes of reading would have answered your questions

You haven’t played Warzone, I bet you don’t even know the mechanics of it.

It is not pay-to-win, as War5torm said, and you should be ashamed to call yourself a Halo fan if you really think 343 would sell themselves out and approve a pay-to-win system just for a few extra bucks.

I will destroy the noobs that buy the weapons anyways, noob bashing is kinda my thing.

I swear people like this come on here, never even intending to buy the game anyway, and just have fun posting negative posts. If your really interested in halo 5 then you would have checked out the ample about of info about warzone and other gametypes before you made silly posts like this.
