There is 8-10 month until halo will be released.
Most games info comes out no sooner then 2-4 months before the release.
that being said the marketing is going to start the release of info will happen.
343 are not trolls they never had any intention of releasing any info this early and never really gave that indication. fan have just jump to conclusions because of what bungie had done with past games.
Who else believes that 343 still has to the time to have a fully developed marketing schedule, that will have all the info we need to judge the game for are selves.
my personal Opinion is that they’re handling it just fine. there is still plenty of time. and i give then credit for the fact that they haven’t let anything leak bungie was not able to prevent leaks of content, that gave to much away for lot of fans. who else agrees
You speak only the truth my friend.
> fan have just jump to conclusions because of what bungie had done with past games.
You mean actually talk about their game?
The title of this thread needs attention STAT!
As is stated in another post, its crazy how childish some people are on here, demanding information and carrying on like a little girl because they werent given anything. How about waiting patiently and accepting whats given to you when it comes ? My opinion is that the marketing stage will start soon, but only when 343 feel comfortable and happy with what theyve produced, after all theyre are trying to win back the millions that have been left dissapointed with what was left by bungie. What would you rather ! Everything given away early so you know exactly whats going to happen in game, or the excitement of going to a mid night release having no idea what to expect, i sure know what i would rather !
2-4 months before? so that would place it at the earliest like may…? reach had a beta by may lol
Not a substantial amount, but i make an exception for Halo. I dont complain about lack of information because i know how hard 343 is working to make it happen.

Pretty childish generalization on your part. Frankly, I can wait, but 343 fails to make it easy. They’ve been in development since 2008 and O’Conner in particular brags about how great the game is shaping up to be. Such a statement wouldn’t be a problem with some information to back it up, but thus far nothing of the sort has happened.

they not only talked about reach they over talked about reach giving way to much info to fast. The other games were ok but they even fallowed a plan similar to what 343 is doing at this moment. There still 8-10 months left people that’s almost a full year. and as for not talking about there games they are there just not talking about it they way you want. you want to see the game mechanics you want to see how the levels are being worked on well there still a good 8-10 month left for that. you have said that you want just a picture more concept art well that’s not going to help with what you really want you just don’t have any patience. if they release a photo tomorrow you would be excited for a week then go back to freaking out about no content and not showing the game.
Honestly i hope there is no information at all until the games release because things can’t be spoiled for me that way
stupid reach hackers…

Dont get me wrong im with you, O’conner hasnt done himself any favours by bragging about the game and showing us nothing. I am excited about the game the same as others, but the whinging is just crazy !

I classify big info as “seeing anything from the actual game.” That starts way earlier then the leading months before release, for nearly all games.

My sentiments exactly. It was cool the first few times, but it gets our hopes up. I picture it like teasing a dog with a juicy steak only to pull it away at the last minute. Getting our hopes up when you have no plans to follow through is NOT a good idea from a hype perspective. People will just stop caring, like what’s happening now.
I’d be cool with waiting if they stopped bringing Halo 4 up only to say “we cant talk about it.” Bringing it up defeats the purpose of not talking about it.

DecepticonCobra continues to make some of the most rational posts on this forum. It’s not often you see someone who eschews both extremes of an argument and instead occupies a sensible middle-ground. I agree with you completely; the lack of information is not terrible in and of itself, but when we are treated to statements about the game that come awfully close to sounding boastful, it does feel a bit incongruous.

I completely disagree. I think Deceptioncobra is just ill informed

And Even(i know ill get flak for this) Cod doesn’t start showing new info for the next game till 3-6 months before… Look at black ops 2 that being released this year is there any info on that game? No will there be any info on that game before E3? most likely not. Will that game still do very well besides the fact? not doubt about it. and that as of right know one of the number one games out there. Do i think halo will beat it? yes. Why? because it friggin halo.

you will only get flak for it because CALL OF DUTY WILL NEVER STOP BEING THE SAME EXACT THING SO IT DOESNT NEED TO RELEASE INFO plus it comes out every blamming year

I have to side with Precursor here. While not deliberately bashing Deception Cobra, he’s just as prone to irrational screw ups or anything of the like as we are, and has in fact succumbed to such screw ups many times in the past. We all have though; still doesn’t make calling him or anyone else the most rational poster anymore valid.

Here, here Roberto. Frankly, I can cross the line and be just as biased. I’ve been pretty vocal about wanting some information about Halo 4, going so far as to call 343 apathetic. That said, that doesn’t make anything else I’ve said here any less valid. 343 could make the wait easier just by being quiet.
