Halo Wars 2 Patch Notes - January, 2018
Targeted for public release on Tuesday, Jan. 16

Finally

So these look like excellent changes. Looks like Voridus will be much more in line with other leaders now, and the Hog rush meta will hopefully be mitigated, although I still want the pop on hunters and cyclops to drop by 1. Sadly this is really bad for flamehogs which are the worst T2 vehicle right now. They needs their building damage improved as gauss hogs out perform in all aspects while being cheaper AND costing less population. @nuchey we gotta do a test video showing how inferior flame hogs are. If I’m not mistaken, gauss even kill infantry faster than flame, as well as buildings, while flame also does less damage to vehicles.

Excited for the return of Isa Canny Tanks and Anders Tank rush, plus Grizzlies were also buffed although I don’t think they needed it. Hopefully these improvements don’t leave Johnson in the dust again… still holding out for a stomp rework.

Still looks like a lot of things from Naka’s balance post haven’t been addressed, but this is at least a long awaited start in the right direction.

LilBanks owes me money

So bad

DC Longshot has already made a video about flame hogs, I’ll get a link for you.

Very surprised they aren’t fixing invader wraiths!!

Once the patch drops please feel free to leave all the feedback about the changes and how the game plays.

To answer the question of why feedback items from Nakamura’s thread were not addressed - the balance patch we are putting out was agreed upon and prioritized prior to his thread and the approved changes were built out accordingly. As this patch rolls out and the changes take place, we will re-evaluate what other areas of the game might need work to balance out. We are very aware of the large wish list of changes and if they are still needed after this - we will see what we can do to address them.

Alright thanks for the answer. Can you reply to my private message? I don’t want to post about that question on the public forums.

Thanks for staying engaged. Much appreciated.

As Breezy was the first to post a thread concerning the patch notes, let’s consolidate discussion into one thread. Thanks.
