I really need to get this out there. Is there any way to make it so when you face a party, you have to be in a party? I’ve had to resort to spending the first 2 minutes in every game pretty much submitting negative reviews of everyone in a big party full of Forerunners, Reclaimers, or Inheritors just to get a game that has everyone on an even playing field. It’d probably also help since every time there’s a big party people quit before the game starts.
Maybe it’s just me, but since these people are so eager to play games with all of their high ranked games, they should be able to wait a minute or two in between games to find another big party waiting for them. If it’s 2, 3, or 4 people in a party, that’s fine, but 8 people parties are just killing the only game mode I’m really into on Reach at the moment. (I’ve been a BTB kid since Halo 2)
Am I just getting super annoyed by this? These guys are just in it to get their K/D up because half of the game isn’t even them doing the objective.
BTB doesn’t have enough parties searching at the same time in order to implement Big Party restrictions. I would have to wait 30 minutes if I was searching in a full party to find a game with a decent connection let alone evenly matched teams.

This, unfortunately.
And I rather play regardless of being in a party, alone, matched against a party or just randoms than spend an eternity searching for players.

Really now? I always seem to hit party after party. I didn’t think they’d have much of a problem playing against each other. Usually this is late at night or early afternoon.
Search times would be too long for full parties (not everyone has a big party for BTB after all) but randoms would find games relatviley quickly. If you are smart, you don’t search this playlist alone. Getting spawn trapped isn’t fun but if you do find it enjoyable perhaps you are insane.

Then the teams who go into Big Team only looking to spawn kill randoms will stop searching regularly. Not to mention, the search times would be awful. Better off sticking with BTB.net customs IMO.
It wouldn’t be a couple of minutes for the full parties - It would be at least 30-40 minutes of searching. There simply isn’t enough full parties searching (7 or 8 players) for that to work properly. I search with a full party all the time in BTB (in any playlist really) and if KD matters to you that much, why do you search solo? Get a group of friends together and play together.
Nonetheless - I would love for a system of party VS party in BTB to be integrated. But right now there simply isn’t enough support/population in that playlist on a 24 hour basis.
It’s horrible, but I don’t see how they can’t just make it the 1st minute or so that it looks for other parties before resuming regular matchmaking searchs.
It seems possible since I still play full parties from time to time when alone in Squad Slayer, even though there are search restrictions for 4-5 member parties.
