Okay so I didn’t really know what to name this thread/topic, and I’m sure there’s already been hundreds of threads like this but I just want to bring up the issue again.
In Reach, as it currently is, teams of >3 can get matched up with randoms as I’m sure you’re all aware off. The things is though that this is the first Halo where there’s no escaping it. Correct me if I’m wrong since I can’t remember if CE played out the same. There are no playlists in Reach where this isn’t the case and as I see it that’s a huge problem. You should be able to go into MM and not be “scared” of being matched up with some utterly useless randoms against a decent team of 4.
As soon as there’s a party of 4 it’s basically gg. Unless they are horrible, they are going to destroy you and your team if you’re playing solo. H3, in my opinion, was nice since there was the possibility for “casual” teams to play in the social playlists whenever they felt like it and play more “competitively” in ranked whenever they felt like it, i.e get matched up with randoms in one of them and play more serious guys in the other. I think a system, that at least resembles that one should be brought back. Doesn’t necessarily have to play out as ranked and social matches but there needs to be something that makes teams of 4 play against teams of 4 because as it functions right now it’s unbearable.
I’m sure 343i is already aware of the problem and is going to fix it in H4, this is merely for the off-chance that they haven’t thought of it yet.
