Party matchmaking. It needs to happen...

I’m sure everyone on these forums have versed a coordinated team and that it was quite obvious that they were all communicating. Especially when you find someone to kill and when you are about to all their teammates poor around the corner and cluster -Yoink- you. It is super frustrating when you go 5-15 even though you are better than them and its just that they are communicating. You might say: “go get a party then” however this isn’t always an option and sometimes people just want to play by themselves. Being matched against a coordinated team where you are just in a team of random is ridiculous. To make it worse people end up leaving and its you and another guy verse a team you were getting destroyed by anyway.

if you had 4 people in a fire team (or more) then the game should only match you against other teams of 4 to make it fair. Another issue with this is that different members in your fire team may have different ranks so if the game averaged them out then that would do fine. Another issue is that it will be harder to find a game but to counter this it could be more lenient with the other people you verse if they are in different leagues. This also wouldn’t affect the ranking because now it really is a team game and is also based on your team skills so you can easily come back even if they are individually better than you and your team members.

What does everyone think? Would you like to see this happen? How could it be improved? How do you think it could be implemented? Go wild.

Wasn’t this done to an extent in halo Reach?

yup and in halo 3 I believe but its not in halo 5. Maybe if this threads blows up enough 343 will see it and add it.

I can agree with this they should just take what they had in halo 3 and run with that. if there are 2 people partied than you should run against 2’s partied. should fit for any of it. also to keep the search speed up for playlist that have 4vs4 make it so you can have a minimum of 3vs3. that would help for when people are off sleeping or whatever people do these days.

While I do agree it is nice having parties against parties, the wait time can sometimes triple.

The biggest issue would be that the population won’t adhere to that while having new playlists added in for all those wanting social (which will split what population we do have). Back when Halo 3 was at it’s prime, the population could cater to the amount of playlists and still have you match evenly. However, with all the games out there and most of the Xbox Live population split among them, I doubt they could do this and you still see fast match times in multiple playlists. You’d start to see issues with lag and longer wait times to find matches unless more people came back to Halo and stopped playing all the garbage COD/Destiny type games.
