Party Matching

Hey guys just wanted to bring up a topic which i believe is a huge flaw in todays matchmaking system and IMO the reason we are experiencing unbalanced teams in Arena and players complaining about being “farmed” or statted on in Wazrone. PARTY MATCHING. What is Party Matching? Why is it important? Party Matching simply put is pairing a pre arranged team in matchmaking with its pre arranged equivalent. For example, if I decide id like to run some Team Slayer with 3 of my friends (assuming we are all relatively close in rank) I should be matched against another team of 4 within the same rank. This goes for running 3s only matching teams of 3 plus 1 random as well as running 2s matching others running 2s with 2 randoms and players searching solo. In my personal opinion i believe that to have a great game you need a great matchmaking system and if players who are running alone are being matched against a full team of 4 then that is just flat out discouraging. Chances are that those players will get blown out by the full team and will be less likely to play arena again. Players want to match their equivalent, we want good evenly balanced teams of equal party size because that is the matchmaking system we’ve all grown to love from Halo 2 and Halo 3. I understand that 343 has stated that the reason this system isnt implemented is simply because the population is not where it needs to be in order to have the system work properly, meaning we will experience longer search times when running in teams. I believe it should 100% be in Halo 5 regardless of the population because that creates a solid foundation for a good matchmaking system which will create a more enjoyable experience resulting in more players coming over to play some Halo.
