So is everyone else having the problem where after a matchmaking game, it sets you back into the “FIND GAME” menu? I thought I read somewhere that they fixed that. It’s literally the only problem I still have with multiplayer. Matches are clean and run smoothly when people don’t quit, no lag, and the wait time for a game isn’t that bad. I just want to know if I didn’t update properly or something.

Are you talking about with your friends? That happens when they get stuck uploading team stats. You lose party leader and automatically join them once they back out.
If you’re talking about staying with the randoms you got matched up against, that’s not supposed to happen. You search for a fresh game after every match. That’s how halo works.

The -Yoink- are you talking about “That’s how Halo works?” Every halo kept you in the party, it backed you out to the loading screen with the players from the previous match, any slots left from players who quit are filled, a map gets voted on, then the game loads. It’s been like that for every Halo except this, 3, Reach, 4, hell, even the H5:G beta had that.

Ranked playlists always backed you out with your party. Only social playlists kept everyone in the same lobby. Reach and H5 are obviously not included in MCC so they are irrelevant. I’m not sure about H2, but this is how Halo 3 and Halo 4 were (H4 was entirely social until the ranks came out, but they never changed it).

3 didn’t have it unless it was added after 2010 cause that’s when I stopped playing 3. Halo 2 didn’t have it either. This has been discussed before. It essentially comes down to if you’re going to use that ranking system, you need to use that matchmaking system as well.
You can YouTube some halo 2 and 3 videos if you’re still confused.
