Party chat should be removed...

In certain playlist. No communication = No teamwork.

Implying Halo 4 will even be skill requiring that teamwork is needed.

No. I would ignore multiplayer like I did with MW2. Game chat does not encourage teamwork, just random trash talking and other 12 year old shenanigans.

Mute them, but i would love to talk to my teammates again like before 2009.

I’d like that as well.

But if the other team is all in the same chat, they could be using teamwork. Honestly if you’re going into a team playlist, bring friends. And even if you do disable Party Chat, what is going to make your micless teammates talk? Can’t force that.

Party up.

i would just mute every single one of you

While I would also like to see more teamwork, it would not be fun hearing about the everyday shenanigans that people talk about whilst playing. I feel it would be worse than not hearing your teammates when you’re competing to be heard over everyday conversations. And if I have to mute the others, why am I even bothering to not be in a party chat with my own friends, with whom I already communicate tactically, anyway?

I could see why you would want to remove it from certain playlists, this way you can communicate with your team. But I only see that being a good thing if they are randoms. The other bad thing about not allowing party chat is proxy voice. Proxy voice allows the enemy to hear you talking if they are near by, so if your planning a strategy and they send in their spy you’re screwed lol.

So I think having a party chat is a good thing, just go into playlists with friends or stick close to your teammates so you can have each others backs. I do that is Halo, Ghost Recon, and Battlefield 3 and it works well. Its a pain in the butt, but it works.

You already posted a thread about this yesterday.

And, the answer still remains. Removing party chat won’t force people to talk, they’ll just mute everyone and not talk.

And why do you assume that Party Chat doesn’t encourage teamwork? Thats what I use it for.

What thread are you talking about? Also if everyone is in a different party how will that cause team work. I can’t say to them they have a rocket launcher or a sniper because they can’t hear me.

Only like one special playlist if at all, but not all. It would be sort of like making a playlist only for people with mics (which isnt a terrible idea come to think of it) but it would be stupid to do that for a lot of playlists, it should be for one special playlist.

No thanks. I hate how Counter Strike forces you out of party chat. I was actually going to buy it on Xbox, too.

You talked about removing party chat yesterday.

But on topic: It causes more teamwork then having to listen to a bunch of high-pitched voices screaming “gimmie the sniper”!

It helps teamwork if you have at least one other person in the game because now you two are working together. For me, it can become distracting with a bunch of others. I love party chat with another person in the game because we can directly call out to each other without distractions or interference.

Keeping party chat will encourage more teamwork than getting rid of it. Getting rid of it will cause people to mute and ignore everyone they don’t want to talk to.

Party chat isn’t the problem, the people you’re talking to is.

This option had best never be in any halo game, if you want teamwork so badly invite someone to a flipping party chat…

Why do players need to be forced to talk to people that they don’t know ?or be forced to hear a 12 year boss everyone about?

I lose all the Time in the MLG playlist because i can’t tell them where the enemy and weapons are at. Make a separate playlist for people who want to talk. what is the point of the quiet and chatty system? There is none. Party chat destroyed the feeling of being team that halo 2 and 3 had.

That’s a pointless playlist because their is still no way to enforce it.

IMO, I don’t think removing party chat would boost teamwork.

There are many people who trash talk or do not talk at all. I barely ever talk to people when I play.
But I don’t think party chat should be removed, it would not solve your problem OP.

No thanks, if you want proper communication, go in with a team of your own. Game chat with randoms just encourages trash talk and annoying behavior.
