Ranked shouldnt have party chat allowed because team members should be calling out or listening to callouts at least. except ffa.
What difference does party chat make? They are still looking at the screen, and I never hear call outs in Halo 5.
Here we go again…
a touchy issue it seems
If they ban party chat in ranked, I know I’m not playing ranked anymore, which would be a shame because I enjoy ranked matchmaking much more than social.
No one uses their mics in ranked. My buddy and i have been purposely not using party chat to find some other like minded players to roll with and to make some new halo friends.
We played two days and the only guy who spoke was some clown after a match telling us to follow him on Twitter…because his two double kills are newsworthy.

Same on not using party chat
This isn’t COD. If I want to talk to my friends in other matches or games, let me. Especially since you can’t talk before the match, there is no reason to ban party chat.

What if all 4 of us are in a party and we’re calling out?
What if multiple people in the party are having other conversations?
If you’re that determined to find a group of people to call out or listen to, maybe you should find a group of 4 to do that with so you can do that in a party.

Well… did you follow him on twitter?

I did not. Two double kills hardly equates to someone so skilled i would want to follow them on social media. I also don’t have a Twitter account. I’m old, who cares what I have to say.

If your talking about the use of Party chat from Game Chat. I’m sorry to tell you this but that’s all up to Microsoft really. There’s rarely a way to regulate when someone is in a Party Chat or not. The only game I’ve seen using the feature was from COD. In which they only did it once or twice. With the new Xbox system and the team based Halo, for the sake of team gameplay, Party Chat should be left alone to avoid spammers among mic. It actually enhances the game experiences leaving party chat available. Plus on top of that Spartan’s call out Enemy Locations and Basic Team Communication for you. So there’s no need for In-Game Communication to be Regulated.

He said gonna be twitter famous one day (is that a thing?) and you’ll regret it!
But I can agree with that. Except I’m young (22) and no one wants to hear what I have to say. I don’t even use Facebook. Social media isnt my cup of tea.
If I cant chat with my friends while playing, ill just unplug my mic. If people dont want to do callouts, you cant force them too. Some people like to sit back with a beer and chat instead of going tryhard all the time
- Most people don’t use their mics, and if they do, they aren’t calling out. It’s either raging or another language.
- Game chat has terrible quality audio compared to Party
- 99% of the time your teammates in solo Ranked aren’t worth talking to anyway
I haven’t heard a call out since h3.
