Get that crap out of here. If you don’t like talking to randoms in match making mute them set your account up for team and party. It limits team work and weak players use this to take advantage of the system and lag game up.
Halo 4 should limit party chat to certain game type ie social playlist.
I sincerely and absolutely hope that party chat is NOT removed from Halo 4. I much prefer not being subjected to ignorant, racist, and sexist comments and sadly, that seems to be what I hear in game chat 90% of the time.
I’m so sick of talking to random people online. Party Chat is a gift from the heavens.
(above) She’s right. There are so many racist, sexist, and just complete d-bag players out there that even if I simply greeted one I’d be torn apart by insults for no reason. The option to go into Party Chat and talk with the people you know and have become fond with over the past few months or years is a preferable one.

As far as I know the mute button works great for those people

I’m actually split on this. While when I play by myself it is cool to have a bunch of people to talk to and make new friends there is a LOT of ignorant people online. Halo, luckily doesn’t have the worst of it but it is pretty bad at times.
Is it possible that 343i could make a compromise and have it where it’s a player choice? What I mean by that it is have a player option, maybe call it “the party option” where they can turn party’s off so everyone they match up against is in game chat and if they join a party, they get kicked. They could turn the option on so everybody is in a party. Or they could have a choice like “Mixed” where people are free to be either in or out of party chat. It’s a bit of a stretch but it would leave the most people happy. I’m just spit balling a rough idea here though haha.
and the playlists that did it lost many players as a result. For example, many people play mercenary TDM instead of TDM because they can talk to other people instead of the immature idiots.
And how many people in TDM in COD actually play with their mics? the ones that do have a mic most of the time have no intention of playing stratigically.

This so much. Also I like talking to my friends and we don’t always play the same game.
No way. I like talking to all my friends, not just one and mostly none that are playing Halo. That would make no sense. I don’t understand what the problem with party chat is.

I was pointing out the fact that it could be done. Along that same topic though I play a lot of Call of Duty and have no issues with people using there mics. The one I cant stand get muted.
