Party Assist

One thing I would love to see added to Halo Infinite’s challenge system is a “party assist” system similar to Fortnite.

For those unaware, certain challenges will receive progress even if completed by a teammate in the same match. As an example of Halo instance of this: Get 25 Needler Kills.

With Party Assist, you could be partied up with a friend who gets 12 Needler kills and you 13, and together you will both complete the challenge of getting 25 Needler Kills.

I think this would be great to see added to Halo Infinite in some form. As it stands, if a friend and I both have challenges to get Needler kills, if one of us gets the weapon the other will be unable to make progress. But with this system added, we both would be able to get progress and have fun doing so.

Don’t write Fortnite. It is not good to write that.
Better write “Hey guys, I got an awesome idea” - but no, not from Fortnite.
So I will continue and act like it was your idea.

I really like that idea, but as it seems I wouldn’t bet on it, that something like this will happen in infinite cause they want more or less your money, kinda you spend your money for XP-Boosts, cause with co-op [lol] challenges it would be easier for you and you wouldn’t need to pay with cash.

He said he had this idea from another game - and being that kind of heretic to name that game here is the stuff how crusades are starting.

This would be a cool idea but seeing as how 343 will be charging us for the season passes, I highly doubt they would implement such a thing. One can definitely dream though!

Personally I’m not keen on this as it adds yet another advantage to those who play in a group over those who may hop on for a quick few solo queue games.

Very true, it’s more or less just team up with friends to cheese challenges.

I dont get this at this point this reasoning doesnt make sense because atleast when i last used xbox they had a “find groups” feature. what would stop you from making a group and setting it like “no comms, only for party xp, till X time” then boom you have a fire team of solo players who now get party xp and arent forced to talk or put them selves in uncomfortable situations socially.

Yeah they do this in TF2 with the contracts. If you’re in a party and doing a particularly difficult challenge you can make it easier because your entire party’s actions count towards completion.

Sounds like a genuinely good idea. Would add a lot more fun when playing with my group.

There is that, but if you’re hopping on for 10/15 minutes then need to hop off to e.g. get food/see to a child that may not work for you. I regularly hop on at the end of the day for a few games but if I need to join or form a group to do it effectively, it would slow me down (e.g. if people were already in games etc) starting and potentially would just land me with a dreadful team.

It’s adding barriers to people playing which simply isn’t a good idea

I guess i dont see it as a barrier but an incentive to play with friends and set up play days.

Half true,
There will be a free & paid route for season.
A free unlock will be available for every level in the BattlePass. A paid unlock will be available for every level too - with the exception of season 1.

Overall though I do see the benefit for casual players of having a party assist feature but I think we can probably live without it too. Considering BattlePasses don’t expire you always have the opportunity to level up and unlock items even if you’re not able to beat every challenge.

Ive never particularly found any challenge hard or difficult. That’s just me of course, others
may struggle but I can’t imagine that’s a huge portion of people.

Indeed it can be that, but that’s the kicker too - if you don’t have a reliable enough schedule to set those up you’ll just find yourself feeling like you’re missing out
