Please 343i do something about this. What’s the point of even going out for the kills against a party when I might as well camp in a corner for the entire match or not even try.
As someone above already pointed out, it will be very awesome if you added a mercenary type playlist where no party is allowed. You could also take some junk playlists out.
> Exactly why I don’t go into a playlist without a few friends. Either you get matched against MLG tryhards, full parties, or a combination of both. Did I forget the betrayels for weapons ? Get some friends that play Halo Reach and stop b itching about getting smashed by full parties.
Excuse me, but has it crossed your mind that not everyone can get a decent team of eight players together to be able to play BTB. People who want/have to play alone for numerous reasons should be able to get a decent gameplay experience. You should step out of your selfcentered world and see that there are other people around you and not all of them can or want to play with a full party.
No need to be so selfish.
I agree, as much as I love BTB, I don’t enjoy playing it anymore, because I always run into parties that end up gaining map control within a minute of the game starting, which, as one can anticipate, results in quitting, either from teammates, or from me. If we could play in a random only playlist, I think it would be a lot more enjoyable for us who don’t play in a party, while those who do can duke it out with one another in a separate playlist.
> I don’t know about you guys but it gets annoying. Not everyone has time to put a tryhard team together in their life. How about a singles playlist or singles search filter for us semi-casuals? I am thinking along the lines of CoD mercenaries playlist.

I am guessing you have never played Halo Wars. That game does it perfect. They have different playlist for both randoms and parties.

I have played a great amount of Halo Wars and I love that feature. There really is a difference between party team games and solo team games. I hope we can actually get this looked at by 343. If not for the Reach patch, then for Halo 4.

God I know exactly what you mean. I love BTB.
This is the biggest flaw of BTB. It seems like every game I play in BTB is against a full party. How are singles supposed to have fun with a party filled with Noble+ ranks spawn killing you all game? This was a huge flaw in Halo 3 BTB, and I can’t believe Bungie kept it in Reach.
Rant over. I hope 343 does something about it.
I think almost every playlist should only match randoms with randoms, save the few 2-man parties in the lobby. But full parties should only be matched with other full parties. Generally, a full-party team will crush a team of randoms.
Agreed. Any time I’m against a party of 5+, my team always seems to get wrecked, and when I play with my buddies, we practically can’t be beaten against randoms. It needs to be fixed.
Not taking a shot at the OP, but it is hilarious how people have been asking for this since day one of Reach. Yet, nearly a year into its release and not a thing (nothing)!

Well I’m one of those guys that play in full party BTB and yeah we spawn kill. But the only reason why I go in as full party is because is no fun when my random teammates quit, AFK, betray for a power weapon, no mics, private chat, etc. How am I suppose to have fun when they do that?
Actually after looking at your recent games I seen that you played one of my friends full party.
> Actually after looking at your recent games I seen that you played one of my friends full party.
I doubt.
Back to the point, I do agree with the OP. It seems that whenever I’m matched with a full team at least 2 people instantly quit before the game begins, then we start getting torn up and more leave. Large parties should be matched with other large parties. There are more random people/small groups playing in matchmaking than large groups so matchmaking should somewhat favor small groups.

It’s not going to happen ,people complained about way back since halo 3 and nothing has happened.

So? Time doesn’t justify poor decisions, and the fact that we still have to deal with insufficiently strict matchmaking only makes the need to fix it even greater.
The only problem with that setting would be restricted search times, but it’s an issue that deserves attention. Reach has a decent amount of players, but they’re dispersed enough so that it would take quite a while for a full party to find a match.

man ive been askign for this since H3 BTB
This will not happen for the simple reason that search times for full parties would become obscene. You want to play Btb and not have to worry about it, then make more friends that have Reach, or join a clan.

You know what, they’ve been putting randoms against parties of 8 since Halo 2, now that I think about it. Because, I can remember well with my team of 8, we would search in BTB, and there would always be this one random matched against us with the other 7 boxes empty. And he’d just sit there for a minute while the search ensued. Haha, good old Halo 2 days.
Full teams of 8 going against randoms in Reach is a bit overblown mainly because those full teams just stat -Yoink!-. There’s nothing in it for them in winning so they just pad their stats.

H2 is a blur for me since i quit halo when i just got modder after modder and myself was not tech savvy enough to learn how to bridge host to get a fair match.
I love the people who brag about KD and when you check their stats are BTB heroes. Great for lulz.
