Particle beam weapons for the unsc

I thinks it’s about time we got a particle beam cannon on a ship or something or maybe an ingame unit like maybe a scorpion tank or something along those lines. The unsc now. This technology well to weaponise it so it’s time we got a token weapon of this

I mean it would be cool, but I feel it would take away from the general feel of the UNSC.

Isn’t the spartan laser the token particle beam cannon?

There was a pelican in halo 4 with one too.

Keep the mostly projectile but have a couple of these lasers are starting to see more widespread use would be nice to something of a particle beams and particle beams are different to lasers

That’s our token energy weapon but particle beams and lasers are very different to each other

do hannibal tanks work from halo 5?

It’s a laser cannon but it’s an awesome start in that direction.

It’s hard to say, because part of the UNSC’s charm is that they still use projectile weapons even half a century from now. It’s kind what makes them seem more down to earth (no pun intended) I mean I’ve not read all of the books yet so I dont know what weapons they use in the newer books. But I feel that by adding some energy weapons into the UNSC’s arsenal would make it less relatable? I don’t know, theres something I personally like about the humans seeming to be some kind of under dog that despite being technologically “inferior” in alot of ways they still have come so far.

we all ready have energy based weapons now. so i dont know how it would be less relatable and plus its set half a millennium away not half a century. I like the projectile weapons but I want a particle beam weapon as well. It doesnt hurt if we have a combination of the two. The energy weapon would probably be on a starship or a vehicle of somekind I doubt that the unsc would have the technology to make particle beam weapons for infantry like the covenant do. We have the Spartan laser the railgun and the hydra we have enough high tech small arms weapons and we will probably gets these and few more high-tech weapons for halo infinite. Infantry high tech weapons weather railgun or energy based like the spartan laser are very expensive to make on a small scale.

Not like the Spartan Laser?

When I read particle beam I think Gundam but you know that’s very far from the Halo universe.

I wrote this when half asleep. But in my head I had half a millennium dont know why I typed century :joy::sweat_smile: and I’m aware we already have some but I just dont want to see them end up with loads and dont want the to potentialpo replace some of the classic weapons. But it is just a personal opinion, I dont expect everyone to agree with me. Plus it wouldn’t stop me playing the games either I just a bias towards the UNSC’s projectile weapons
