Bungie didn’t care. Do 343? I have a clip of some loudmouths teaming up in Regicide. I quit and they hassled me with messages. :-/ The guy who sent me the messages came in 3rd! Sad losers.
I don’t think it’s a matter of caring so much as it is a matter of detecting. 343i doesn’t appear to have enough staff to manually accept and handle reports of bad conduct, so anything they can’t detect through post-game stats, they can’t handle.
(Things like modding are handled by Xbox LIVE Enforcement, who do have enough staff to view all submitted complaints within twenty-four hours. This refers to the in-game “File Complaint” system, though; I’m not sure that they investigate stat-padding.)
As a side note, to make sure no one reading this gets blindsided by the forum rules: please don’t post the boosters’ gamertags or other identifying information on the public forums. We have rules against calling out individuals or groups in a negative fashion, as (among other reasons) we don’t want public shaming or witch-hunts to start here.
Bungie did care about boosting, however they had no problem if you had a full lobby to boost Achievements if I recall correctly, you would get a 48H XP Ban though for doing so.
To be honest I don’t care at all about those that are boosting commedations or achievements, as long as they don’t affect anyone else, why would you care? Your Gameplay won’t change because of that.
I can also see why people boost some stuff, I mean who the hell did max the plasma pistol legit? I know that I never will, I have 6 random kills with it, and I refuse to believe that a couple of people did it already in a legit way.
Kushi90 - read the title of the thread. I have no problem with full party boosting - this wasn’t it. Partial party boosting by definition negatively affects the other players not in the party.
As for maxing out the plasma pistol, I’m on my way to doing that. All you need is Dexterity which lets you get more shots out at a fast pace without the gun overheating. FFA gametypes make it easy to get kills, damage boost makes it insanely easy.
I know what you meant, I simply stated that Bungie did care, I would even say that the Banhammer was better at detecting than the new Halo 4 one, but I have no facts to back that up.
And about the Plasmapistol - You have over 100 Kills with it (Just watched Regicide and Slayer) that’s still a long way, others said they had done in legit in like 2 months by playing Plasmapistol only …
Yep, I’ve a long way to go but I only really started this week as a secondary goal and it’s not something I plan to rush. I don’t try to get every kill with the PP - that would get old quick. My point is that it’s entirely possible to get it. Two months means getting 15 kills a day which is simple.
