Palmer's Helmet

Why does Palmer never wear her helmet? Even in combat situations, like when she first saw the Chief, she didn’t have her helmet on.

I’m guessing to become more acquainted with the character.

Because she thinks she’s too cool and awesome for a helmet. Only pansy boys wear them.

I was wondering that myself, I’ve also tried to work out what armour she is actually wearing, pretty sure she’s using Scout shoulders.

Because she’s too pretty ;p to have a helmet on.

Because she has a freaking pony tail!!! All Spartans have shaved heads. Shame 343 for missing that detail.

She has a full Scout suit, I believe. Early renders show her using a Scout helmet, but never in game.

Because she’s a girl.

Because Marcus phoenix doesn’t need one.

Maybe she doesn’t like wearing it? I know I wouldn’t want to wear a helmet all day. /Helmet hair/

Because she’s a SPEHCE MAHREEN, obviously.

You’d think a Spartan would know that the helmet isn’t just there to look good. It protects your head and has a HUD that shows useful info.

Makes sense that Palmer hasn’t figured this out though.

That’s what Kat thought too and look what happened to her.

obviously…
you can’t see snipers.

Most likely because she’s always hanging out inside Infinity which is a non-combat zone. If the need arose she’d probably slap it on like the rest of them.

But on the Infinity level she didn’t have it on. I’m pretty certain that counts as a combat zone.

I honestly wouldn’t know since I haven’t gotten that far in the campaign XD.

Maybe she just didn’t have it on hand at the time of the attack or whatever? It’s possible. Not exactly good conduct but these are S4’s we’re talking about.

Why does she wear the armor then.

The same reasons soldiers on military bases wear their combat fatigues and gear but not necessarily their helmets?

The armor itself may count as the on-duty uniform for Spartans.

Why? Better safe than sorry i say. They are near Requiem anyways, if something happened, it’s best not to caught with your pants down. Plus, consider their uniform. Same as any regular soldier that is on duty really.

As to why she’s not wearing a helmet…343 trying to humanize Spartans? Of course, if you don’t wear helmet, you don’t get shields for that area either ;o.
