I wonder if Palmer will actually become a likable character unlike in Halo 4 and Spartan Ops (personal opinion). She seems okay in Escalation but hopefully improves from that.
Palmer is awesome. Played Spartan Assault and she is a beast. You just don’t like her b/c she thought you’d be taller.
Palmer’s a pretty decent character. She’s just overfond of calling everyone eggheads.

That’s probably one of the main reasons I didn’t like her in Spartan Ops.

Hahaha and i’d forgotten she was in Spartan Assault but I never really got around to playing it.
She had a pretty humbling moment in Escalation that seemed to mellow her out quite a bit.
There’s usually a hazing period for new Halo characters. Some are more lucky than others. For me, Roland needs to prove his worth in Halo 5. I found him absolutely insufferable in Spartan Ops.

Yeah Roland was a little weak as a character for me. I haven’t played Spartan Ops since the second half came out but I don’t think he had enough development.
From what I’ve see nearly on in the game so far (won’t say anything), she seems to have improved. She’s not bashing Halsey 24/7 (never got why she took it so personally).

That’s good to hear, I look forward to seeing her in action. About Halsey, I never understood her hatred for her either. I know some Spartan II washouts disliked her for crippling them or taking their childhood away but Palmer never seemed to have a reason for it apart from disliking most scientists and insulting them.

Two moments actually in my opinion, but I’m a bit concerned about typing them out even when placed under a spoiler… ^^;

Roland earned his place when he made fun of miller for me. " oh nooo, promethians". But on topic Palmers growing on me, she’s a tough person that for me just needs her edges smoothed off a bit.
I really hope she isn’t even mentioned in the game.

I’ve always had an indifference to Palmer.
I could see how other people could hate the character but to me she just felt like a drill sergeant.
Like a sort of unlikable Sergeant Johnson.
To me in Halo 4 it seemed that 343i was trying to replace Sgt. Johnson. Palmer will never replace Johnson. So through Escalation (which I haven’t finished yet) 343i have seemed to fix her character without just retcon. Now her character makes more sense. In Halo 4 she was a total hardass but now she seems to be becoming a better character. I hated her in Halo 4, so hopefully she’s good in Halo 5.
I wish to take a dump in her helmet and watch her put it on. But since she’s already a -Yoink- head, that would be totally redundant.

Well she is. Not just in Warzone where she’s the announcer, but in the campaign as well.
I doubt it, the damage is done. Her in Halo 4 was bad enough, but with the crap she pulled in Escalation, I don’t see any redemption.
