Great Voice actor bad charater. Only one person in halo can have it like her and he died from the floating ball that the new holders of halo decided to name themselves after. Why they did that because, it sounds cooler than MC Production…just Barley.(not really)
One thing that Sarah Palmer has failed to do was Kill Jul’Mdama when she had a shoot on the Sangheili terrorist leader. Most likely she will be punished for not killing her target with the excuse of that She was given orders to kill Halsey and not Jul. It won’t be too long until this war with the Storm Covenant causes many lives and she will be the one that didn’t pull the trigger on Jul. So Fingers will be pointed at someone for not doing the job and they will lead to Palmer.
I have never liked Palmer since i heard her first line and I doubt the UNSC will overlook that she didn’t kill Jul. Maybe Oni will try to back her if you know what i mean(for those who read the books) but it won’t be enough after what will happen in Halo 5 or Spartan ops season 2. So when she falls and she will fall it will be great to see her doing paper work instead of leading the most advance unit humanity has.
Replacement ideas. IDK maybe Jared but no so much he is a better commander in my opinion someone i would follow if i had a choice of him or Palmer but he seems to only be an assistant. But if i had to say someone i would follow into hell with in Halo 5 and the rest of Spartan Ops it would be Gabriel Throne or Dalton. Throne seems to have everyone’s best interest in mind and not just the Spartans. Dalton well he is the Ordinance Master for the Spartans and he is better than Palmer always calm and ready for war.
Truth be told i would rather see Sadie Indessha as commander of the Spartans rather than Palmer and i doubt that the other humans aboard the Infinity like her as a CO either seeing all other humans as leasers and the way she talks down to coives might not go so well for our Sangheili allies that many people are hoping to see in future Halo’s.
So if you could replace Palmer who would it be and why.
I would rather See Miranda Keyes but hse is gone now but now Lord Hood. Is hte Main man for leading such a force as the Spartans. Even if he is just away from the Battle.

I really think the true reason for all of the hate against Sarah Palmer is because a large amount of people here are sexist. Honestly, I loved her the moment she put Majestic’s fire team leader in his place.
I like Sarah Palmer. She is a great character that adds to the overall storyline and progression of the other characters. She adds conflict, she isn’t perfect but she tries her hardest to do what needs to be done. Waypoint has tried their hardest to knock her down with silly excuses like “she doesn’t follow orders!”, but she is a necessary character for the universe and the storyline. All the characters cannot be perfect, happy go lucky, nice people who care about everyone, rainbows and unicorns.
Some characters need to be sleeve rolling, down and dirty, kicking butt and taking names and that is why Spartan Sarah Palmer rocks.

But here is the thing, he already called the Knights put and Majestic showed up and saved her and Throne. If she she saved Throne and just laid Jul Down not only would those Knights not even Know he was dead but it would leave Halsey wide open for a bullet in her head.
I disagree with her over Zealous thinking of following orders after she disobeyed Del Rio even thought his orders made sense. Arrest an AWOL super solider with the most advance A.I. created by man kind that too is crazy before they leave the ship to go fight what are 100,000 year old advance aliens zombie robots(does nothing)… Kill the woman who saved humanity from religious alien monsters(covertly takes out several Sangheili, infiltrates a hostile base of operations and fights her way to the heart of the base. WTF!
i dont mind her not killing jul. its one of those things that happens in video games that you overlook because you know it was done to set up future plot lines.
the only thing that bugs me is her tone and choice of words. im fine with her egghead talk and banter when its a non combat situation. but when she is addressing all of the spartan ivs or its a mission it should have been much more professional, even keel, and should come off robotic almost. these are supposed to be the best of the best which means there should be a hell of a lot more discipline then what was displayed during spartan ops.

Well i am not sexiest for one. I just don’t like her…and that is weird are you calling me sexiest or people in general that dislike Palmer because i do feel some are about how they feel about her. I just feel thatshe is a horrible Johnson replacement but also everyother female in Halo i have loved. Halsey, Cortana, Cat,Miranda that one marine from Halo 2 when you walk up to her and hte guy that is trying to get the hell out of dodge when the Scarab blew up their platoon. But Dare i really didn’t like her all that much she just seems like she was added into the game jsut ot add in feelings for Buck. I hate when they do that in games. Just to make a person for the purpose of Love…its werid to think about that while fighting off alien hordes.
But I am not sexiest hell i even seggest that Sadie Indeshia from ODST to be a marine before halo 4 came out i have even wrote an entire fan fiction about it.

i do think if she was some hulking dude she would get a lot less hate. but i would still have the same problem as i mentioned above.
that moment you mentioned worked great for me, i liked that scene a lot. its when she addressed all of the spartan ivs that had me scratching my head. and all of her talk during the sp ops missions just killed her for me. i think it is great to see spartan ivs as people which your scene does so well. but i want to see them as some of the most disciplined soldiers when they are in action, which includes palmer commanding them from the infinity.

Okay they had this when they had Del Rio but they got rid of him so it does seem to be that 343i does want everyone to be what you have described. I remember before Halo4 came out Frank o’connor i believe said they took away single points like only getting kills shows up on the score board because they wanted everyone to feel special.
Yes I do agree that there needs to be a person who isn’t as a bastion of Hope and life .We do need those hardened people…like Del Rio.
But the only thing i can say i like that Palmer did and by lore she kept doing this is putting Demarco and Maticson. IDK how to spell his name but she kept them un line fast and Grant says that is what she likes best about Palmer how she keeps them in line.
But i believe that is the only moment besides when you save Switchback is when Palmer seemed somewhat interesting to me,every other time it was just like her memes.

I agree with this 200% of the way especially since i just got done playing Campaign on the mission Infinty and a Spartan four said
“We Spartans fours are elite troops with codes of the highest discipline, but you, you are something different.”
it left me wondering instanyl of when Palmer addresses the spartans fours in Spartan ops. I was just o.0 was that an insult trooper.

Sorry i messed up in that post but i do agree. I got a feeling that i was the only person that disliked Palmer because of her attitude and way of thiknking but i have come acroos others who don’t really have a reason on hating her. I was hyped for Palmer. I thought she would be another Miranda Keyes but was let down by how she just turned out.

I meant that he would summon knights and maybe other forerunners to get rid of majestic and palmer. He will also summon knights that will help him escape.I thought he summoned those knights after she shot Halsey’s arm’s off.

Stopping DeMarco dead in his tracks was truly awesome. I give her that. And it’s not that I dislike her specifically, I got a problem with Spartan IVs as a whole. Individually, tthough, here are a few cool and likeable characters.
My problem with Spartan IVs is that they are a far too generic and bland. Spartan IIs have a great backstory, and so do Spartan IIIs; you have to read Ghosts of Onyx for that because Bungie failed spectacularly at portraying them even only remotely properly in Halo: Reach.
Spartan IVs are just “soldiers who became Spartans”. All the myth and drama about the previous Spartan generations that made them so fascinating is completely missing.

But the flaw about that is if he wanted them dead(which i am sure he did) than he would have called in everything at that moment instead of running away.
I like the voice actor and character. But i believe people find her annoying simply because of the lame lines she repeats over and over. She gets more depths in the cutscenes then during the game.

And that quote is entirely off. They talk about how they follow ORION Protocols. You know, using consenting adults, not kidnapping children from their homes in the middle of the night.
