Am I the only one who thinks that Palmer seems like a much cooler character based on the trailer? I know it was only a little snippet, but she seemed much more mature and cool headed than her Younger Spartan ops self. I’m excited to see more of her. And lasky is cool as always. What do you guys think?
Just a bit cooler. It’ll be nice if they follow it up with a character better than what we got in Spartan Ops. She really didn’t seem all that fit to be a leader in H4.
She looks better with darker hair and wasn’t mumbling “eggheads” every few sentences, so I’d say it’s a start.
She seemed better. Let’s see if it continues in H5.
I thought her and Lasky looked exactly the same as their Halo 4 iterations. They haven’t changed them a bit, although I did get a more serious tone from Palmer.

She seemed better but will have to wait and see if she stays that way.

Lasky and Palmer definitely looked a little different in the intro trailer. Palmer primarily because, like with Chief, they altered her armor’s design to match the new style of having color on the upper part of the undersuit. You can see the white on her shoulders. As for Lasky, when we saw him in that trailer from E3 he looked more similar to his H4 version than in this new one.
I guess she still looks a little cooler, but I’m just happy the 1st thing coming out of her mouth wasn’t, “I am Campaigning for 2016 so get ready eggheads!”. I think Lasky looks cooler than before, not that he wasn’t cool before.

Her shoulders seemed more prominent due to the change in colour I think.
I’m looking forward to seeing her change from Escalation.

Well, I’d assume that 343 goes at the game assuming that a large chunk, possible even most people buying the game won’t have read the entirety of Escalation. So most people going into H5 will still be remembering Palmer as the weirdo Commander who likes to call people eggheads. And the Commander who kicked a Forerunner artifact in the Infinity that could’ve killed thousands of people for all she knew.

Frank has actually confirmed that Escalation is not cannon with the events in Halo 5: Guardians. He did say, however, that some events from the comics do align in some way or another
