@ around 0:20 you can clearly see Palmer duel wielding. I was already pissed off when 343i didn’t bring duel wielding back from halos 2 and 3, but this really takes the cake. It’s like they are laughing in our faces, knowing they took out an already well established game mechanic for halo, and then mocks us by showing it in an action cutscene for spartan ops! Unbelievable.
How many games don’t have character doing something in a cutscene that we can’t do.
Hell, MC and Cortana talk. I can’t talk in game. WHY NOT!?
Sorry but “balance” is more important than a fun innovative game.
You’re right! Also, in the cutscenes, Cortana can glow red and yell at people whilst growing really tall. Why can’t I do that in-game? 343i has obviously ruined the game.

I would be impressed if that was added, because it would be a new feature. But duel wielding is NOT new. We have down it before and we SHOULD be able to do it again…but no.

Cortana isn’t a spartan. Go back under your bridge, troll.
Spartan Throne instant killed a Elite using a storm rifle with only a couple of headshots.
For the players, the storm rifle isn’t even headshot capable.
It’s simply the difference between Canon weapons and balanced weapons (or unbalanced in some cases). Dual wielding was never truly balanced and so it was removed, but in Canon everyone still can duel wield.

My bridge collapsed, sorry.
I was making fun of the fact that you expect that, because someone can do something in a cutscene, it should be made available in MP. I like dual-wielding, trust me, but your assertion that we should be able to do what Palmer does is based on a rather flawed argument.

I could easily make the storm rifle a osk by messing with the damage modifier, but I get what you’re saying.
And to clarify, duel wielding COULD be balanced, but was chosen not to be put into the game. (But don’t worry, that time that could have been spent on additional mechanics was put to good use to make the graphics look pretty)
Chief knows how to dangle from a hardlight bridge helplessly. Why can’t we do that? It’ll be just like Assassin’s creed.

How so? She’s a spartan, I’m a spartan. Hell, in campaign, I’m the CHEIF! So how is the argument flawed?

Because it isn’t even remotely practical in game, other than for Custom game/Machinima purposes.
Dual wielding does more than making you dangling target practice.

So the guy who grabbed an extra magnum is still balanced against the guy with one? You think one Boltshot is bad? Just wait until the AC camper grabs two.
Dual wielding sounds great on paper but flops in game. Besides, it can only be done with a few CQC weapons which would put the guy using the AR where? SOL. So it’s not even worth the time trying to balance my friend, as it never will be.
being able to use 2 boltshots at once sounds totally sick bro.

It was a joke, and you wouldn’t be target practice if you weren’t in his line of sight. You also wouldn’t need dual wielding if your primary was strong from the start.

That wasn’t a very funny joke.
So what if I could have a strong primary? If I wanted to dual wield two guns, why the hell shouldn’t be able to?
You know what, Master Chief can also fall from orbit and not die.
How come I can’t jump off a cliff and be fine?
Pfft, Halo 4 is ruined.
He can also survive a nuke a point blank range?
And what, Fuel Rods and grenades can kill me. This is a travesty on this series good name.

You say duel wielding was a flop? Then why did bungie bring it back in halo 3? They obviously did something right. Also, there were twice as many duel wielding weapons before than there are now. What happened to the smg? Or the plasma rifle? Oh yeah, 343i didn’t want to put them in. And the ar guy in halo 3 dominated mid range, while the duel wielder dominated close. Now the ar has been made the close range weapon, because the BR had to be made the mid range weapon so the stinking dmr could be the long range god. Talk about balance issues.
Forget all this dual wielding junk. I just want to be able to take my helmet off. Palmer can do that as well … and it was available in ODST …
