How are the sand pairings for you?
My sands are family
I hate it. It’s coarse and rough, and it gets everywhere.

I always play alone, that’s why I’m doing poorly in qualifying

They can’t all be bad. I’m sure you’ve had luck sometimes ? Why not invite those you did well with when things did go well?

It is not that I play a lot with friends, qualifying, because they are not connected, and then I classify alone and it goes bad for me, but sometimes it goes well for me, but then I try to reach onix, but sometimes the rank is bugged and I win games and not I go up, and when I lose I go down a lot

Ranking up heavily depends on who you’re beating and their MMR. The overall team strength vs yours, and then you yourself have this calculated amount of kills, deaths, kills per minute etc. If you exceed whats been calculated, you move up because you’re showing yourself outperform where you currently are.
When 2 teams match, there is a win percentage before the match even starts. If your team is favored to win, you get less for the win, if you lose you lose more than the other team would have lost if you beat them. The more the odds are for or against you the more extreme the outcomes are.
In a match that you are favored to win, if you get a crazy kill count and super high stats…maybe you’ll go up a little more…but…you were so heavily favored to win, why would you go up a big jump? This is a ranking system we’re talking about and not a progression system. So the wins do not always automatically count towards a huge csr jump on your screen because your MMR hasn’t really changed. So these factors all matter. You move up defeating opponents higher than you if you exceed whats been expected. If you were expected to get 8 kills and get 8 (just an example ) then you wouldn’t really move up much. This was the expected performance at your current skill level.
Consequently though…parts of this system are really bad, and players do in fact get temporary rank locks on them. This happens for multiple reasons…and…the description of all of this is long…time consuming…and at the end of the day won’t satisfy you. Create an alt acct and see how that goes. MMR history, who you play with, and your strength on that team (if you were the highest ranked player or lowest) HEAVILY impacts the teeter totter of your progress bar so much that you will feel it’s effects even while playing alone for awhile sometimes. On a new account…fresh…no history…no string of bad matches playing with a full squad to where the system is essentially looking at your performance like
"daimond 6…hmmm…you previously lost 10 matches last time you were daimond 6…all while being in a 4 stack…and your opponents were equally matched pretty fairly…I don’t care that it was 49 to 50 because I’m a stupid creation…you still lost…so…I’m not so sure I can give you much for your wins buddy. I think I’ll keep you here until you’ve really showed me you’ve avenged those 10 losses in great fashion. "
By then you’ve just won 5 games and went up half the bar…lost 1 and lost 75% and are now daimond 5.
Welcome to halo 5. We’re happy to have you.
