I think that in Halo 4 we should be able to paint visors so we can make helmets with visors like this.
Of course 343 would have to monitor visors to make sure that they are “appropriate”.
Any thoughts?

I agree, solid colors is the way to go. The last thing I wanna see is some -Yoink!- in my face as I’m getting t-bagged. There’s no way 343i could monitor all that.

Agreed. I don’t want 343 to focus so much on the aesthetics of a game.
That looks Yoinking awesome. I hope we can do that for Halo 4. Also it can’t be any type of paint though. If it’s normal paint you won’t be able to see out of the visor.

I thought about actually making a spartan with an EVA helmet with a bright red and white target on it being like “Shoot me, I dare you”.

For practicality’s sake let’s just say that it’s one-way see-through paint.
With the majority audience being under 18; you can tell this won’t turn out good.

I suppose we might have to limit it to emblems or something like that, unfortunately it seems like an awesome idea in theory but loses its luster when idiots and trolls from real life are involved. Maybe 343 could make a report system so that people can report people with “inappropriate” emblems and visors and then their matchmaking staff can look more into it. First offense: in-game warning (343 tells you to change your look to something more clean, you have 5 matchmaking games to react). Second offense: Temp ban for a day.
Third offense: Temp ban for a day, loss of armor privileges for a week. Fourth offense: Loss of armor privileges altogether, you are now subejegated to wear default.
And maybe every offense can reset every 6 months within your first offense.

I hate Reaches EVA visor. It has no detail at all. It looks like a condom.

Was that in a RvB video? If so can someone link me. It looks crazy awesome. And I’m the type of person that hates EVA{C} and all those other dumb things that make the game kiddy.
Customization is nice but only to a point.
Armor varieties is nice, I enjoy having a look that I chose but adding something like a paint design for your visor just seems ridiculous. Emile’s did look nice but it wasnt paint, it was carved in.
Perhaps adding dirt marks and scratches on it would be okay but I would have to say this wouldnt look right on a spartan, perhaps an ODST but not a spartan.
That could be something cool. I think that it should be something like an unlockable for visors…
I don’t mind a couple preset visors like the one OP mentioned, they just need to be somewhat difficult to obtain.
