Owning multiple preorder skulls

Let’s say that I want more then one of the skulls offered in the preorder. Let’s say that I preorder the game from Gamestop and Bestbuy. I pick up both games on release day with the preorders as well. Then the next day I return one of the copies unopened, getting a refund, but keeping the preorder. So then I keep one game and get two preorder skulls as a result.
Is this possible?

Absolutely.

It depends. I know Gamestop puts pre-order codes on the receipt, but I don’t know if Best Buy does to (I’ve never pre-ordered a game from them). It also depends on what Best Buy or Gamestop’s return policy is for recently released games. Still, worst case scenario, you could sell your duplicate copy to disc replay for some decent cash (if a full refund from Best Buy or Gamestop isn’t possible).

Best Buy puts it on the receipt, too. I remember when I pre-ordered Resident Evil 6, the code (for a really pointless map) was on the receipt.

Honestly, Gamestop has the best Skull you can have.
