I don’t see much about it so maybe I’m in the minority here, but am I the only one who really dislikes the new AR? I wanted to like the weapon tuning update. I was excited to learn the new meta but after playing 2-3+ hours a day almost daily since the update, I’ve come to like a lot of the changes except the for the AR (and the BR but everybody already talks about that). The fact that the AR has a very small window of effective range, less magnetism, and a lower DPS seems to be a bit much. I know it now has an extreme headshot boost but only after you pop the shield, which is too difficult now with the aforementioned changes. And even if you do pop the shield, the head shot registration has been reduced so it can’t even efficiently utilize the headshot boost. The patch notes say it rewards skill but it feels like I’m just being discouraged from using it. “Just press Y at the start of every match and only switch to your PRIMARY WEAPON if your Magnum clip runs out in a fight”. This feels like the majority of the meta now. Do others feel this way or am I way off base?
The post tune-up Assault Rifle is very nasty - perhaps god tier - when it comes to its intended use. As long as you maintain good aim, you can shred apart practically anything (besides the SAW and Storm Rifle) within its effective range. The headshots can be a tad tricky, but it’s very much worth it.

Maybe I need to understand what its intended use is then. It’s intended use certainly isn’t as starting primary weapon based on how much the Magnum is used now. Could you explain what that use is? Really appreciate the reply
