The decharge rate is too high. Like ten seconds after you get it the OS is a quarter gone.
You will also get splattered as normal.
It’s not worth me using ordinance on it 99% of the time. Apart from grenades it is arguably the worst ordinance selection.
If i’m correct, it decreases fast when your getting shot at, obviously, but sitting in one spot with the OS, hasn’t happened b4. However, i feel that the decharge for AA’s a too fast, and the recharge for AA’s are really slow.
I agree the thing decharges way too fast. But I wouldn’t like it if it gave you too much health. I think splatters should stay the way they are. I would just slow the decharge. The only reason I’ve been choosing it is because I didn’t want to choose the other weapons I would get in ordinance because I wanted to max out weapon commendations. Once I finish them though I probably won’t ever pick OS again.

OS is good if you camp with it. I mean, it’s kinda hard to keep it when everyone can see a green glowing spartan and the entire enemy team is aiming for you.

We all know it never works out like that. It’s more like you call in the overshield and 3 guys come and kill you and 1 of them takes it.

that saved me from many players while i was trying to get my verdant visor in BTB list
I remember when over-shield and the energy sword practically made you god.
No seriously if you get the overshield in the near future camp with it and WATCH the thing drain. Before I could even get into a battle a quarter had already drained.
v4 settings will have a 2x overshield just like past Halo’s and MLG settings have had.
I think the OS we have now is next to useless. Its only good for securing at most one kill at most. Against good teams it gets melted away too fast. With OS you are supposed to be a tank and steamroll through the enemy leading a push. The 2x OS should provide that.

Yeah it helps you get a kill for almost certain and then it’s gone. You said it all good though. It should help you get several kills if you don’t kamikaze yourself.
Overshield is fine
It was op in the beta versions but that is probably why it is weaker now
And when I mean op I mean you could take on a scorpion and win without a plasma pistol

it’s annoying that it depletes itself when you pick it up
if i pick OS as a Drop when i’m in my base, i shouldn’t only have a tiny sliver left when i finally find someone to fight

Overshield is a tad weak, without a doubt, but we have to remember that it can’t be as powerful as it once was due to it no longer being a map pick-up. Now that you don’t have to fight over the Overshield, it can’t be as beastly as it was before, right?
Then again, that ideology didn’t stop 343i from making extremely powerful weapons like the Binary Rifle and Incineration Cannon…
