Dear 343 Industries,
Since you updated Reach and ruined the most fun halo, could you please update halowars and make anders’ hawks actually able to get a kill? And maybe fix all the overpowered grizzlies, hunters, and banshees? Okthanksgoodbye
Surely you are not an expert at this game.

Banshees and hunters ARE CONSIDERABLY WEAK for what you pay for, so overpowered no.
and the grizzlies are perfect, you pay out the back end for them so its good seeing as you also must research allot for them too.
Grizzlies overpowered? If anything they’re underpowered. Hunters are fine and Banshees are just cheap.
the only thing that is overpowered is the arbiter
a single unit shouldnt be able to rage down an entire army
marines are underpowered and maybe even turrets cause 1 (160) suicided grunt kills a (250/350) turret
Hawx Underpowered, your joking right? If Hawx were underpowered then i’d never win as anders and thats pretty much the only leader i play as these days. Early game Hogs and hornets (Aiming for Hawx) if anything Hawx are slightly OP’ed I mean they’re reasonably fast (Ok not as fast as banshees…but nothings that fast) and they get Chaff pods to counter missiles/Needles and their weapons are much faster firing and more acurate than those of hornets, late game Hawx and scorps vs UNSC hawx and Wolverines Vs covy, Grizzlys are by no means over powered, scorpians can beat them if you micro reasonably well, Cobra’s and hunters wipe the floor with them as long as you spread the field so you don’t get wiped out by Cannister shell or carpet bomb, hell you can ODST spam your average forge player into submission if you go 3-4 bases (Mostly supply pads) and use 3 spartaned elephants along with your ODST drop. Banshees < Wolverines, Vampires, Hornets (If used well), Marines/ODST (If used well), Warhogs (If used well), Hawx (always)
And for those greifing about the Arbiter, ever heard or using a disruption bomb? or Cliffing him if he’s raging at your Air? Or maybe your own leader? If people know how to stop the arbiter he’ll go down pretty easy, other wise he can rage down 4 Scarabs quite happily (As i have done)
covenant turrets need a boost against scout units, maybe just a little more damage to other types. banshees, not very hard to counter if you see the summit building. just forget your game plan and either stop the summit going up or go straight for anti-air.
hunters are quite slow and I think they deserve slightly higher movement speed.
grizzlies are bad. when I see a forge upgrade to grizzly I say, “well done, you just wasted 1800 supplies upgrading your tanks into an under powered unit. thats 4 less tanks for you”. the only time grizzlies are good is against triple covie that are spamming hunters. but then all they have to do is build scarabs, hunters and banshees and your screwed.
grizzlies need huge damage buff. but the canister shell should stay weak.
Hawks are way OP. infact anders is way OP.

dude if you don’t think the arbiter is overpowered you dont know -Yoink-. Most teams play unsc/covy so you have only 1 dbomb meaning if you use your dbomb and don’t kill the arby be prepared to lose another 5 scorps when he’s healed up again. I havent seen a single RTS game where 1 unit is able to take down so much stuff. I would say about 85% of all the high level teams in this game have atleast 1 arby in their combo ( if they play tryhard)
ofcourse there are ways to stop an arby , get spartan powerturret scorpians or lots of gauss hogs but he still is overpowered especially early-mid game

He’s OP in teams, but UP in 1v1. How are you going to balance that? Replace rage with some other leader power?

true he is more of a support unit. I dont know how to patch the arby. Maybe don’t let him heal up with every kill he makes or atleast not at tech 1.
But I’m used to play against and with an arby now and maybe it makes halowars what it is. It’s not that I want them to patch the arby but I was just saying how overpowered he is.
wat?
their fine as is
Wolves take down banshees like they don’t exist
Hunters can be countered using aircraft…and anti-infantry units
and grizzlies…ever try using those things called GREMLINS?
or maybe those HORNETS, or HAWKS maybe
and even those epic VULTURES
HUNTERS work as well
I find it surprising that someone suggested Hunters are overpowered. They are far from.
Personally these are my opinions in 1v1s only:
UNSC
Warthogs are a must early game.
Turrets price a bit too much.
Spartan Tanks(Cannie)=OP(especially with cannie glitch)
Spartan Tanks are a must.
Mid game, Air is useless due to anti air destroys it.
Anders OP early/mid game
Cutter OP late game.(ODST/Mac Blast)
Vultures only good for surprise attacks.(Base Attacks)
Vehicle Pad is OP.
Gremlins are a must. (UvU)
Covenant
Arbiter/Banshee a bit OP combo early game.
Hall is OP.
Prophet is UP.
Ghost UP.
Brutes OP.
Great rushers.
Brute OP Vortex early game.
Locust are good mid game and surprise attacks.
Scarab/Vamps on mountains OP.
Terrible Late Game.
Scarab is OP with Arbiter/Engineer.
Cant think of anything else atm.

1v1 and I’ll play prophet. you can be the leader your using for the tourny. what was it forge?
prophet isn’t UP, he just has to play defence until he gets vamps and then he can just push with wraiths or hunters. mid game prophet is decent(but with all the BK’s in 1’s I can’t find a good game to test PoR out).
It was anders, Prophets beam is UP do to lag, hes too vulnerable to warthogs, and Cov isnt good late game. By the time u got vamps, we god 3 Spartan Tanks and anti air. Canie Tanks beat hunters if u micro.
flying PoR that drops AB hunters, if the game actually lasts that long, is hard to UNSC. you’ll need a crap load of wolverines to keep me away.
For me (true skill 33 player) the vulture seems to be totally useless unit.
- good against bases/buildings
- can fly over impassable regions
- has virtually no hitpoints to be 6 population/900 supply unit
- could take a speed race with elephant and lose
- takes 1 minute (45 with reservers) to build one (compare to 2 minutes of scarab)
- sucks against scarabs, wolverines, vampires,
- sucks against cryo bomb/mac
- requires air pad for training (compare to scarab)
In 1v1 game it rarely goes so far, that one can actually build vulture(s). In 3v3 games there is always a covenant player with vampires (or at least Anders with cryo bomb) on enemy side.
vultures are support gunships, not front line units. they totally fail against air though. they are good v covie leaders and are the only true counter the UNSC has for prophet.

They are almost completely useless. The only time I ever would use one in a serious game would be extreme late game (usually at least an hour in) in a 1v1 against a UNSC player that has completely turtled up on 1-2 bases (all wolverines, tanks, and cobras). Sometimes if you can’t break their defenses, it’s better just to make all vultures and try to kill their base instead. I can remember a couple times I have done that on Tundra and Pirth Outskirts.

The only things Vultures are good against are Bases, the prophet (If you can catach him with a volly from the Y attack, only really depends on if you can get them in range long enough to press Y), And Scarabs that don’t have anti air back up / Army of supporting engineers
And of course units that cannot shoot back such as hunters and cobra’s, Honour gaurds ect
Prett much everything that can shoot at them will beat them in an open fight, and there’s the fact they cost a substantial amount of resourses and can be taken out by a single mac and lack the chaff pod that Hornets/Hawx get to give them better survive-ability-against Missiles/Needles makes then less worth while than simpky going for hornets / hawx in their place. I’ve taken individual Vultures down with only a pair of Gauss hogs before
