As we all know splinter grenades are very powerful and can send a Spartan into data bits in a millisecond. I usually always swap to them immediately among pick up. Ended with an overkill but no extermination.
I would of never guess one grenade could smoke 3 Spartans!

Wow great point. I didn’t even notice that. I should of edited that sound bite in but I totally forgot about those.
Still, you got that 4th kill before the 3 Splintered players would have respawned. That’s Extermination. You should have got the medal. Weird that you didn’t.

I went back and watched the montages on my page there and none of the overkills got an extermination medal. Very weird.
One grenade to rule them all.
Does halo 5 even have extermination? I’ve gotten killtacs in swat and killtastrophies in griffball but no extermination.

I just verified in my medals that I have no exterminations. Now I really would like to get an explanation on what’s going on here.
Anybody out there know the deal with exterminations not registering?
Yeah I haven’t got one but I didn’t get overkill or kill everyoneon the team but I was supposed to get that resourceful medal in infection like 2 or 3 times but no. It’s when your all your guns are outta ammo and you kill a zombie did this in 3 games but no medal

Are there two exterminations? Above we’re discussing he classic one where in a 4v4 arena game you kill each enemy Spartan with at least an overkill. In my video you can see they all go down within 3 seconds and I get the over yet no extermination.
Im like 99% sure the extermination medal isnt in the game guys… I remember a reddit thread where a 343 guy said they are thinking about putting it in though

False. Look next to my Generic Kill medals. It’s there.
Here’s the deal everyone, Exterminations ARE in Halo 5, however they worked in the Beta but were somehow broken when the game released. 343 acknowledged the issue in my thread of the same issue about fixing the medal. It’s currently unobtainable due to the conditions it calls for not working. They are “looking into it.”

Ahhh. Well hopefully if/when it’s fix they could retro the stats. It should be pretty easy to look at a players games then if an overkill was earned give the medals. This way I could at least look at 
I really don’t understand how something that had been programmed into Halo 3 nearly 10 years ago is unable to function correctly, or at ALL in this case.
I’ve had a couple of Overkill’s recently that would have registered as Exterm’s, but alas… lol

Exactly! I had made this post to be about a splinter nade dataplosioning 3 Spartans but when Bloodclaw95 mentioned there was no extermination well that just got me flustered. I had forgotten all about those and the satisfaction of it.
