overgrown a horrible map?

Does anyone else hate overgrown??? I cant stand it. All it is is shotty n swords. Such a campy map.

I guess i am the only one that doesnt hate it. It feels kinda small and there def seems to be a winning spawn. I accept the fact that there will be lots of invis kills. Usually im the one getting them but i dont camp with it i move around.

I think it would become my top 3 map if it removed all the CQB power weapons and replaced Camo with Overshield or even Damage Boost.

Lol thats funny. Since there are only like 5 maps to begin with

I like it. But then again I’m good at CQC.

I think the cqc is nice but with shotgun AND sword the active camo is too much…they should cut that out. Not every map needs a power up. And it’d be nice to see the rail gun replaced with a hydra since it can quicker combat sword and shotgun.

It just feels like someone is invisible behind the next corner with a power weapon at all times.

I’d like it even more if I got it more than just the ONE single time. It never comes up.

To me the map is a nightmare, I just cant get the hang of it at all. With shotgun, sword, railgun and invis the map is way to crazy for me. Also with the three weapons mentioned, who thought it would be a good idea to put light rifles on the map? Give me an smg, storm rifle, or a needler. They give you a boltshot but its not fast enough to counter the shotgun and sword…the weapons need to change and I think it could be a fun map to play, but how it is now I have a panic attack when it starts loading lol

If the spawns were better and there was either a sword OR a shotgun, not both, then it would be better.

Oh, and not having the shotgun and active camo three feet from each other would also help.

It’s more broken than Orion ever was and needs to be pulled and adjusted immediately. Who in their right mind would stick camo and shotty next to each other, and worse, at one team’s spawn point. Drop the sword and railgun, change camo to an OS and move to a neutral location, move shotgun to the rail spawn and put it on a weapon pad. Right now a good team just camps shotty/camo room and can control every shotgun by dropping the old and picking up the new ten seconds later. Put that beast in the middle on a static two-minute timer so people actually have to move to get it. Drop a couple of plasma pistols on either side of the map to keep the OS from snowballing and you’re done.

It’s a fun 2v2 map. Plays like a old school halo. Most people don’t like it because they are used to running around mindlessly.

In 4v4/5v5 the map is easy to win on if you play smart. If you’re chasing kills, you WILL lose. Complaining about sword and shotgun is not an excuse, figure nade angles out and learn choke points.

To me, it feels a little too cluttered. Everything that happens, happens right in your face.

I am not a fan of it. I like the chaos in the long hallways, but that is the only part I enjoy in it.

I like it a lot but having both the Energy Sword and Shotgun is too much when sword rushing here is so easy. I’d have the sword removed/replaced with something else.

Add to this there are two locations where you can get out of the map with ease.

I like the map but I agree with removing active camo and replacing the sword with a more balanced weapon

It’s a great CQC map and we don’t really have many others that focus heavily on CQC. IMO shotgun and sword is a great combination for this map. Although they should remove camo. There is nothing scarier than an inviso sword.

I kinda like going on a rampage and sprinting with the sword and getting 12 kills :slight_smile:
