So, what do you guys think of Locke?
I personally like him.

I personally like him.
I don’t hate him but i don’t love him either.
But he has a great potencial… right now I like him… let’s see what comes next…
I like him so far. I just hope they don’t screw up his character like they did Palmer’s.
I think Locke is pretty cool guy. Eh kills aliens and doesn’t afraid of anything.
Seriously though, he’s alright. Good guy working for questionable people, possibly with a few tricks he picked up from them. Could be quite interesting.
So far he’s only been in a terribly written mini-series and a pair of short video for the MCC. So far, while nothing special, he also hasn’t done anything to make me dislike him either.
There’s practically nothing he could do at this point, for me, to make up for the fact that he is personally responsible for ruining the life of one of the only Spartan-IIs to make it out of the UNSC’s grasp and actually have a happy and normal life - and then not even apologizing to the person he wronged for it.
The actor’s performance in ‘Nightfall’ was bland and totally stilted. The character has just come out of nowhere and is now supposed to be “very important” to the story when there are other much more interesting established characters that could be getting the spotlight. Simply, I think he’s a class-A jerk and I’m not looking forward to having to play as him in ‘Halo 5’ at all. >:(
If he will be a playable character they will probably keep him a little bit bland so players can project themselves onto him. He will be honorable enough and roguish enough so people will find something in him to identify with.
so far I think he seems ok. Sort of Offensive Bias to Master Chiefs Mendicant Bias. Chief has gone rogue like mendicant. I think galactic history is starting to repeat or at least rhyme.

With that same logic, you could consider the Arbiter a class-A jerk. He murdered billions of people without any thought. Yet, he’s one of the most loved Halo characters of all time.
How did he ruin the life of an S-II? He didn’t bring the element to Sedra.
