Ive been out of the loop since I stopped playing Reach last year, I was wondering what the general consensus on 343’s take on the franchise is to date.
While I realise its not completed yet but how do you guys feel about the changes etc?
Also has most of the Bungie.net forum users ended up here?

not happy, they’re taking halo down a bad road.
I think it looks promising so far.
But I shall await until the final game for my verdict.

Most accounts of people who have played it say it feels more like Halo than Reach did and it handles the elements that Reach introduced better than Reach did.
It’s really like any other sequel. Some people like what they hear. Others hate what they hear. And none of them will know for certain how they feel about it until they play it, and only some of those people are willing to acknowledge that and reserve judgement.

I gotta say im somewhat aprehensive about what I’ve seen so far. Certainly feels like there’s a little more COD in this release than just the MJOLNIR crotch armour…

Well better than reach will be enough, that game made me play Black Ops.
The community is split in half. Some love it soem hate it.
I have not heard anyone who has actually gotten the chance to play it say they did not enjoy it.
Basiclly it’s changing alot, and while it may look bad on paper, many people say it still feels like Halo

i have, he didn’t express it here, no one really comes here to express disappointment towards halo 4 because of how the community here gets so defensive over it, the few posts that have cropped up here from people who’ve played it expressing disappointment instantly get shot down while posts praising get quoted constantly.
Cautious optimism.
Over the moon about the campaign but the multiplayer is looking a bit too much like Reach’s and seems to be diviating from Halos past arena MM. Hopefully there will be a large classic playlist to scratch that itch. Forge is looking good but it hasn’t advanced quickly enough but there is still more stuff to be released. Custom games has never looked better.

They’ve really expanded on the meta game aspect other games have used, but it looks like Halo, and in the end, the best player walks out the winner.
As for the story, the Campaign looks tremendous, and Spartan Ops is looking good too.
Some people are worried, but I ain’t. I’m quite pleased with Halo 4.
That Storm Rifle looks like a treat.
It’s Halo 3 with armour abilities basically, i don’t know why anyone woulddn’t like it to be honest, the campaign looks by far the best Halo’s ever had and the multiplayer lives up to it’s standards.
