Now that everyone has got their hands on the legendary armour piece I somewhat feel that it’s not special anymore. It was something to show hard work and dedication towards the game, now seeing level 5’s and 4’s, obtaining the armour it make me ask the question, was it worth the grind? The armour has lost its status similar to the hayabusa armour from halo 3.
To be clear dedication relates to the amount of time paced in Halo 5 or in any game. If you grind and grind you will eventually get everything, I just don’t think it’s right for people who have not put in hours and hours of their time in getting something which requires a lot of time and grinding for req points. it’s not completely random, what are the chances of getting mark 4 in a bronze pack, you can’t, silver, still can’t, only when you have completed both bronze and silver is when you are more likely to get the armour piece. Obtaining the armour when you haven’t even completed bronze req packs in my opinion is disrespectful and unfair to those who have genuinely ranked up and grinded to get this armour.

It’s just a skin. Why care so much about having a status symbol? If you get to look the way you want, that’s great. If everyone else does as well, even better. Others having your favorite legendary armor doesn’t mean you can’t use it; it doesn’t take anything away from you.
Besides, how much “achievement” goes into RNG, anyway? Halo 3 Recon helmet; now that was an achievement. I was happy to be one of the ones who got it by completing all the Vidmaster cheevos. And when years later it became available to all, I thought “Great for them!”, because I’ll always know I got it the hard way.
At this point in the games life. Most already have this… I got boosts. And I am only 80 oerecnt on body’s and helms
Fairly certain RNG isn’t hard work or dedication.
The Req system never meant any hard work. It was just grinding through a massive RNG and microtransaction filled wall. Plenty of people could have unlocked that armour at an earlier level by luck (took me ages to get it). However it’s the fact that I spent so much time trying to find one armour set and now everyone can get it for free REALLY frustrates me. This pack feels like a kick in the balls to me and anyone else who grinded to get that armour. You might as well have allowed Helioskrill to be unlocked in a req pack. Oh wait…

Giving everybody this badass armor is 343i saying a lot of things.
1: Thank you for playing Halo, here’s cool armor.
2: We’re sorry for all the awful gear, here’s cool armor.
3: We really do want to say we love you, here’s cool armor.
4: Yeah we know Mark V isn’t quite right, here’s cool armor.
5: It’s just one pack and you can’t buy more, because today is special and we don’t want to ask you for more money so, here’s cool armor.
Don’t you dare complain about this. This is the least money-grubbing thing done in Halo 5 yet to celebrate something. Just stop complaining about it right now. This is nothing but a good thing. My hard earned Helioskrill didn’t make me special and while it was a badge of honor, knowing others could just randomly get it never took away my achievement of getting it.
So stop it, OP.

Same thing with Helioskrill, I finished all the MCC Legendary campaigns before Halo 5 came out, now there are three different sets of it…
Well there is a huge selection of armor that should give you that same satisfaction. Hey, less people running around in silly looking armor. I can get down with that.

Heh, yeah. I’ve since gotten over it though. I’m happy that lots of other people get to use one of the best armors in the game.
I see it as a saturation of good looking armor. We’ll see less of that ugly Seeker.
It is a bit strange seeing a level 30 wear a full set of mk 4, but this is why I wear Achilles, to show I have worked for it

Except they never said it would be exclusive and said that you’d get it day one but it could still be unlocked in REQ packs.
Seriously you people are making a big deal over nothing. It’s armor you unlocked from opening REQ Packs. RNG. You didn’t earn the armor by beating the campaign or doing some really hard achievement, you unlocked it because Gold Pack #234 decided to give it to you.
I understand the frustration with it somewhat but as it’s tied to RNG people were gonna get it eventually.

As Chimera30 said, who cares if someone wears the other variants of Helioskrill. The people who got Helioskrill by MCC damn well earned it. The best part is, I don’t even wear it, but I’m proud to say that I have it.
you are rigth its not special to wear, but i dont see overuse of this armor. i played 5 games in the morning and only 1 player had it. everyone else where using other armors
