Modern Warfare 3 just got a shiny new map pack released. Just sayin…
DMR is just fine like it is! I fell in love with it from the day that I could use it in the Beta!

Thanks to the AR, Reach is more a First-Person Sprayer than an actual First-Person Shooter.

Second that, noobs use AR plain and simple!
Its not that its overpowered.
Its that all other weapons are under powered.
Needler, Spiker, Pistol, Assault Rifle, Plasma Repeater, Plasma Rifle, all under powered.
The only time I would say that it’s overpowered is against vehicles and that it has a really long range (even with 100% bloom). Even so, the BR was much more powerful, and if the main headshot weapon will almost always beat an AR, I think it’s fine.
The Halo 1 pistol shot faster, had more power, and a longer range than the DMR. I learned Halo by playing Halo 1. The DMR is UNDERPOWERED. Get on my level.
DMR isn’t OP. The general sandbox is UP.
Blame the lack of plasma stun and the trade for auto-aim instead of damage.

Thank the title update for that. Pretty clear they ‘balanced’ the DMR without taking into consideration all the other guns. They balanced it for DMR vs DMR. One gun mentality ruins all.

While I agree with you, its funny because thats the game that Halo’s developers keep making.
My 2C. The AR is the most worthless weapon in the game. I trade it in for anything else asap.
Spiker, Plasma Rifle and the Reach Pistol are garbage also.
The Needler I think is valid on an opponent taken unawares and the Plasma Pistol has Utility in the vehicle stopping aspect.
Most underated/Underused weapon: Grenade Launcher.

They really tried to get away with it in Reach. The beta DMR had both recoil and bloom and 12 round clip, so you had to make damn sure your shots counted, but they pussied out on making the DMR what it truly should have been due to whinging feedback. So now we have the spam DMR taken to crazy levels by the TU.
Damn shame.
To be fair the kill times were extremely slow with the beta DMR.
It and the NR only getting buffs in the TU was unfair to the rest of the sandbox.

This. Makes me kinda glad that there’s no beta for halo 4. The feedback would probably ruin it.

At least we don’t have a Magnum with no ROF cap (It took them nearly 10 years to make that thing balanced).
And we also could be stuck with the grenukes. Oh wait!
If for anything, they should have a beta for the bugs.
