OUTDATED

Every piece follows the same coordinates. Couldn’t stand how obnoxious it was having Colosseum Walls not being level with everything else

Color

Different environments.
> Okay so this topic is a bit different from every other forge idea topic. The concept is simple: what are your top 3 ideas for what forge 3.0 NEEDS.
>
> Remember to keep your ideas within the realm of what forge is. Forge is not a full blown editor.

> Alright so here are my personal top 3.

> 1. Undo Button (nuff’ said)

> 2. As I have seen in many other posts, the ability to combine objects in forge and move them as one unit. An additional feature would be the ability to save these objects and use them later as prefab structures. (Cool idea huh? You can do that in the Unreal Editor 3/UDK)

I’m not sure, your ideas beat mine. If I were to think of any I would choose:
-
Lots of Vehicles (Civilian included)
-
Completely Flat Forge World with huge forge palette
-
Easier Interface (navigation through menus)
OUTDATED
-
Play test bots.
-
Cut and paste.
-
Ability to move and edit water.
EDIT: 4. A frame rate stress meter.
OUTDATED
- Undo and De-spawn options, so like objects can appear and disappear
- I liked the idea of combining objects together and saving it, so that’s on my list
- Able to create terrain (like making hills, adding water, trees etc…) Weather effects
I have much more, but i would LOVE if these were included in forge :]
OUTDATED
RAINNNNN!

I have only one request more colors/themes honestly i am getting tired of the reach grey… its everywhere!! they should make a parody of that liam neeson movie the grey
Switches that activate things like gates or teleporters. They spiced up Zanzibar, Containment, Relic, High Ground and they would spice up any Forge map too.
-
Snap Feature
-
Different Textures (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE)
-
Coordinate inputs. Like, I want all of my walls to be 75’ tall, I can set it to be that.
- Undo/Redo/Copy/Cut/Paste options.
- Climate controls - Snow, Rain, Sunny, Cloudy, etc.
- Snap objects
OP summed up most of my wants but I have a new one.
Trip Wires: Invisible wires that you can create in Forge, when someone walks/drives/moves through them they activate an object(s) they are connected to, be it spawn some new objects, despawn existing objects, cause fusion coils/plasma coils to explode, or cause an object(s) to move.
Buttons: Performs the same function as trip wires but it has to be pushed by a player.
I think these would be awesome and open whole new worlds for forgers.
- large map
2.divere pieces - large budget
-
A delete all button. You want a map empty so you can start from scratch? Instead of tracking down everything just make it all go away, less stress for the player.
-
More big forge-friendly maps.
-
More unique environments and forging pieces.
The ability to move the floor :]
So we could make our own hills and stuff like that.
1.Delete All
2.Undo
3.The move objects as one(#2) in the OP
-
Pin- Stick items to the wall, make it look like it was meant to be there.
-
Map Bomb- When in a map thats not Forge World, I want to bomb the map clear of items and save me time from going and deleting everything
-
Gravity- I want to stick things in the air with the setting of letting them fall down or not.
Multiple tags on objects/ anti tags: this way I can set one hill marker as multiple objective goals, and exclude some objects from specific gametypes.
Custom sizing on standard blocks: this alone will solve a good portion of frame rate issues by cutting down tremendously on numbers of pieces used.
Merge pieces.
