Agreed. It’s especially annoying in MM when a Forge map comes up and all you see is Forge World.

That said, it’s not that big of a deal.

I’ve thought of this also. I originally thought “Why not just use the view from the Loadout Camera, if you setup one that is”, but I thought well if you have more than one, that would be a bit confusing as it would keep switching and such. So I pretty much came up with the same idea you did: take a snapshot and then when you go into your file share > maps > map options, have an option there to assign a thumbnail from your images.

Problem is, how do you regulate the images? Some people might take a picture of the word “-Yoink!- spelled out with Forge objects and assign that to a totally different map? lol. Not good.

I’d like it, but people would end up posting photos of Forge Penises or something.

I thought it would have been a good idea to have a video preview of the chosen map. Say on Reach if you chose Boneyard. It would show a 10 second preview of gun fire.

Thumbnails of the map specifically is a good idea.

That made me lol, but i like your idea, it would make it easier to tell if a map is good or bad.

I have been an advocate of this since before Reach came out.

> That’s a great point, and I did not think of that. I will assume that any forged map placed into MM circulation will have it’s preview image . . . checked. If it’s inappropriate I suspect 343 would take the liberty of changing it for the map maker.
