Out of curiosity, what else is in that 6.2 gigs?

Historically, forge maps have had tiny file sizes and seeing as we already have at least one forge canvass (Alpine), the maps cant be contributing too much to the 6.2 gigs.

I very much doubt that an animation, a game mode, several reskins of weapons and vehicles and a couple of new armour sets would take up much space at all either.

So what the heck is in there I wonder? Is it a sneaky forge update, to lessen the blow when it gets released in December? Is it a whole pile of inane zeros and ones meant to make the update seem more legit?

All I know is some people have a limit on how much data they can use in a month, so any time there’s a download that exceeds a gigabyte I really have to question “is this worth it, or should I wait 'till the rollover to get it”

I’m guessing it included a lot of assets from Forge, if not the entire thing.

Here’s hoping, I’d hate to finally get there to be told “you need to download a 20 something GB update to play Halo 5”

yeah i cant get it, this update is too big for my data budget ive got going. Goodbye Halo 5. (Till i go to a friends place for internet lol)

I too am very curious as to what they added, because forge maps alone are tiny. They could add forge maps with just code because its just placement of objects on worlds we already have.

It was just the maps.

The new reqs? Don’t exist.

“here’s a big fat btb patch with new Forge maps, and remember those cool new reqs we told you about? Not even in the game lol have fun guiz”

6.2GB is an insane patch size for such little content that i dont even give two yoinks about. I wish updates like this were an option or at least flashdrive downloadable so i can get it from a coffee shop or something.
It takes my console 4 hours per gig to download and now i wont be able to play for two days because i have someone in my house who work at home. Argh, i hate my ISP and I hate 343 for patching in a stupid casual game mode instead of a social playlist or worthwhile updates. :frowning:

Download to flashdrive and then transfer would make some things easier, especially with the backwards compatibility
