Hey everyone,
I hesitated to post something in the forum, mainly because there are far too many actively-recruiting SC’s and not nearly enough players–but after thinking about my own gaming and what it took to find a good place of my own, I figured I’d share the story because why not?
Halo was a huge part of my teenage years, and it would take days on days to recant all the joy I experienced in Halo 3’s custom lobby and matchmaking. But then I got older, life got tricky, and gaming took the backseat for far too long. So here we are, now 2019, and I am finally jumping into the world of Halo 5–and boy is it different!
But then I learned about Spartan Companies, and the awesome mission to bring different games together for one true cause (and I don’t just mean Achilles). Joining an SC is about forming a community, a place where friendships can be made for both current games and things to come. After all, gaming is definitely better when you’re with other people who enjoy it. And, yes, I know what it’s like to join a Spartan Community where you don’t fit in or can’t make your mark in pre-determined cliques; trust me, I get it.
And so I, alongside a good friend, helped merge two fantastic groups of ten together, bringing us to our current 20! And I know 20 might not seem like a lot, but for us it’s a fantastic starting point. We are a friendly, communicative group who wants nothing more to play alongside one another in the fight towards better games–and, yes, of course the coveted Achilles armor
