Our allies in Halo 4 need to have their own AI

Hell, if it’s not too late the Halo: CEA allies need to have their own AI! I’m sick of parking my car next to my ally and having to wait a minute for him to make up his mind and get into the turret! I mean, in Halo 3 I didn’t have to wait 2 seconds for him to know what to do, why should we have to downgrade because you are too lazy to create another AI than the enemy AI?

Bungie made it to where our allies in the campaign have the same AI as the enemies. I want two AIs, one for allies, one for enemies. Using an AI for allies that was designed for enemies is really stupid.

Umm, this is a remake of the first game, and they aren’t changing anything about the gameplay, just graphics. Its not being lazy, its keeping the game the way it was intended to be made 10 years ago.

Lower your expectations OP, the core game (including the AI) is unchanged. It’s the same as it was 10 or so years ago.

All that’s been done is laying a second graphics layer over the old one (hence, it’s possible to switch between the two on the fly), revamped sound effects and voice work, re-orchestrated music, four play co-op over live, terminals and possibly the inclusion of skulls.

i’m pretty sure its only 2 player co-op if you check here, where it says co-op and players it only says 1-2. i’m not picking at words here I just don’t want ppl to get their hopes up, but who knowz :3

Read the 2-16 players part. That’s not just for Reach, it’s also for the four player Co-op campaign. That 1-2 players section only means that two players can play on the same console at a time (ala split screen).

If we are allowed to have type of the slimmest amount of intelligence in our allies, I’ll be happier. That or control, control, we must have control.

In regards to below; Yes, the slow to get in AI really peeves me in Reach sometimes. Just get the -Yoink- in!! honk! hooooooonk!

Actually, the Marine AI in Halo CE is almost the same as it was in Halo 3. Marines actually climb into the vehicle or turret without hesitation. I hate the human AI in Reach. It’s the worst of all the Halo games, Halo 3 was almost perfect.

You know, the perfect allied AI system for H4 would be that they’re able to do actions by themselves efficiently and quickly, but they won’t do nearly as much damage to the enemy. This way, they’re actually able to be very competent in matters of dodging, driving, and aiming, and you can have many of them on the playing field to simulate a real combat experience, but in reality, they won’t be holding your hand for you and doing all of the work.

Well lets hope they do because i liked the ai in halo 3 but the ai in halo 3 odst was stupid. Every time i decided to get on the turret i died because the driver kept driving off a cliff. I think the ai was okay in halo reach for the most part.
