Is there more stories that take place after the ending of Halo 3 and are connected with Halo 4’s plot besides the Forerunner saga and Kilo-5 books? If so what are they?
There are two relatively new comic book series called a Initiation (about the beginning of the Spartan 4 program as far as I know, haven’t read it) and Escalation (basically a sequel to Spartan Ops, where a diplomatic mission between the Arbiter and a Brute leader is interrupted by a Covenant attack).

I’ve heard tell on the internet that Escalation was originally supposed to be Season 2 of SpOps, but because of fanbase backlash against SpOps, 343i decided to turn it into a comic instead.

- Halo: Evolutions (The Return, Human Weakness, From The Office of Dr. William Arthur Iqbal, Connectivity, Soma the Painter)
- Halo: Rebirth (Silentium Epilogue)
While not all of the stories are directly connected to events following Halo 3, they’re all interlinked in how they contain a great deal of foreshadowing and build-up for future events in Halo. I included Soma the Painter because it’s linked to the Forerunner Saga and shows us a more direct account of the Flood’s return to the galaxy. Human Weakness and Connectivity are pretty central texts in establishing and developing the relationship between John and Cortana as well.
