> Why not? It’s only logical. The first two Halo games were Original Xbox titles so it makes sense to give them some love and bring them up to the Xbox 360. Since CEA has already been made that just leaves Halo 2 as the only one left behind. Halo 2 could use some love anyways since the original version is plagued with slow texture loading and a terrible screen burning effect which is extremely annoying on the 360. Not to mention Achievements, Online Co-op, extra terminals and easter eggs for the new trilogy.

> I am totally excited for a Halo 2 Anniversary.
My reasons basically boil down to it feeling like a gimick. Halo CEA was created in celebration of 10 years of Halo as a whole, not just the 10 year anniversary of Halo 1. Now, if Halo 2 anniversary were done for a 20 year Halo celebration, I could get behind that.
But this is just my opinion. God know, being the fan-boy that I am, I would probably buy Halo 2 anniversary regardless.

> Agreed. Looking back at the first gameplay video of Halo Wars its apparent the game in concept form was way cooler than the final product. A sequel could maybe go back to that concept and hopefully make them work.

> An ODST game taking place during the events of Reach would always be cool. It would explain what Buck was actually doing in New Alexandria as well as other locations we didn’t see in Reach. Or we could just forget about Reach and see what Buck and the gang are doing during the new trilogy. Either way I liked that ODST squad and would happily play as them again.
Definitely. I would love to see something during Reach, but I would be willing to be it wouldn’t involve the same crew, outside of Buck.

> That would be really interesting. Personally I would prefer they pull a Star Trek and move forward. When TNG was released they jump almost 100 years into the future from where the original series left off and they showed how much the Galaxy changed in that time. Halo could do the same by ending this new trilogy and then jumping 100 or so years into the future to show the galaxy has changed in peace time.
Now a TNG sort of thing for Halo would definitely be cool, but at the same time, it might feel like stretching things. What’s great about Star Trek is that it’s not all about combat, but there are lots of politics and non-combat conflicts going on, allowing for a much richer story.
If Halo games were to disappear for a decade or so (I believe it would have to be something like 10 years to allow the next games to feel fresh), and 343 focused on fiction and introducing this future Haloverse, then a TNG style trilogy of games could really work.
