I’m not saying hundreds of options I just want to see the return of the Halo Reach Assault Rifle, the Halo 3:ODST smg and pistol, and Halo 3 style smg. I know the silenced smg is already in the game but i always really liked the smg style in Halo 3:ODST and would like to see it return. Maybe also as a loadout spawn for level 7 or 8 smgs and pistols could become dual wield but as a result reloading time would double and melee would drop one and you wouldn’t be able to pick it up, or melee could be slowed down.
Just stop with the frickin dual wielding people. Its not coming back. It was a gimmick that broke weapon balancing in two Halo games and hasnt been back for a very good reason.

Well, following that logic, sprint should be removed too. It breaks balance, and even with all the efforts to try and balance it, the impact it has in the game is drastic.

One of my favorite and most played modes of Halo 2 was a variant I called DUALS. All weapons on map were dual wielding weapons and in the settings I made dual wielding weapons do extra damage. Such a fun game type.
However, I do have to agree Halo 5 is great as is.

First off weapon balance and game balance are two completely different things. Adding in dual wielding just to add it in doesnt do anything other than break weapon balance for reasons that have been well explained in many many different threads on this forum.
Sprint…of course this was going to come up. If you want to say that sprint bloats maps, fine. I agree with you on that. But to say that it unbalances the game is not true. Everyone has this ability, everyone can use it to their advantage or disadvantage. As it currently sits in the game, sprint is a risk/reward ability when used in combat as it causes you to lower your weapon and makes you unable to recharge your shields in order to gain the ability of faster movement. Good or even somewhat decent players should have no problem killing someone attempting to sprint away with the current mechanics in the game, not to mention the fact that people running away is always defeated by good communication and teamwork.
