I really love halo and the universe and just want to see more games that explore different areas of it and from different perspectives and styles. I think being a basic marine or an ODST again would be fun. Also more unique things you could do that pick up a jackals energy shield and use it as extra defense. I also think it could be cool to be a marine with the new squad mechanics they have developed but have squad mates that could actually die in the mission so you get short handed and give specific orders to them (Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 was super super cool in that aspect). Squad mechanics are fun to me because it makes each battle a little more tactical and though out. Especially being a vulnerable marine where that could make all the difference. Any other ideas about different halo games that could happen I love hearing spin off ideas!
There are a lot of things i’d like to explore in future games, so here’s a short list.
- A game from the perspective of either Alpha company or Beta Company - A game covering the insurrection, maybe playing as either ODSTs or some of SPARTAN I’s - A game the explores the history of the elites from pre covenant history all the way to the start of the human covenant war.Thats really all I can think of off the top of my head.
Honestly, Halo has so much potential for spin off games I can’t even list them all.
One of my favourite ideas is a game that takes place during the grunt rebellion.
I would really love to play a game that takes place during the Interplanetary War of the 2170s.

Or an open world game about a rogue spartan that is on a planet and becomes there hero killing all the gangs/terrorist on it and the fine battle is fighting against a Spartan team that has come to kill you

I would love another ODST pop campaign game. I liked in Halo 3 ODST the human aspect of being a soldier. You weren’t unstoppable like a Spartan. And if they did do that they could implement the spartan squad stuff like in Halo 5!

If you hold out long enough you and your squads are evac’d to safety.

-Playing as Covenant in this game type, your objective is to cause as much damage as possible; denying humans the ability to evacuate, destroying their bases, and take the holy Forerunner artifacts. If achieved will end the match and Glassing of the planet will begin.

Thousands of choices; voices, faces, skin color, facial hair, scars, armor, fatigue camo, war paint, weapon and equipment load outs, to aesthetic things like cigars, dog tags, blood splatters, the mark of shame, prosthetic limbs or wounds. (all aesthetics would be cannon; i.e. Major elite, Minor elite, no Call of duty colorful weapon camo crap here) All unlocked though good old fashion play time. (Not a random REQ system.)

Keeping the smart link scopes, MA5 rifles, needlers and plasma would reach out to at least a 100 meters effective range vs the 15 meters in a halo game now. DMR’s BR’s and Carbines and Needler rifles would be similarly “more effective” being that they reach out and touch over longer distances.

To win the match you must Board the last damaged vessel to capture the Human slip space data as elite shock troops or on the flip side Nuke the covenant ship from the inside out as Spartans, giving the underdog a chance to turn the tide by stopping them and defending their ship.

Theres no shortage of content for a game like this in a Lore Universe as big as the Halo Franchise, and I can’t think of a better way to let us play with all of these things in one sandbox.
this is probably a weird idea but id like to see the return too the odst squad from h3 odst, basically go into when mickey went to the rebels, how the rookie died, if buck still has an attachment too that monkey from h3 odst end cut scene (not actually serious that’s an Easter egg) but in all seriousness I think it would be a very fresh new idea for the halo universe
I’d like to see Telltale turn some of the books into episodic interactive story games like TWAU and TWD.
