We have only played and seen Basic Slayer game types (maybe the exception of breakout). I am curious and excited to see what other game types Halo 5 will have changed or are brand new.
Halo Reach had “Invasion”, Halo 4 had “Dominion” (I didn’t really like Dominion but maybe it can be made better).
What new game type do you think they will bring? Or do you think that they will bring a upgraded version of “Dominion” back?
Are we just talking about the yet-to-be-revealed large gametypes? Because my money is on a better version of Dominion. That mode has serious potential, it would be a shame if they didn’t bring it back.
I thought the Strongholds mode from the beta was really fun, but the score needs to be increased because the matches were generally really short and really one-sided.
EDIT: Hopefully we see some kind of revamp of Territories in a large game mode. The version where you had some number of territories to capture, and each team had a round on offense and a round on defense. Whoever was able to take the most territories wins.

In my opinion any of the turn based objective modes will need some improvements to be made popular again. From what I’ve seen in MCC matchmaking they are the least popular of all game types and I’ve seen the highest percentage of early quitters during these game types.

I’ve noticed this as well. People don’t seem to like one-sided objectives. I love them, especially one-sided CTF and Assault. I think most people just aren’t mentally equipped to revise their strategy mid-game.

Agreed. This was my favorite gametype in Halo 4 and I definitely see it coming back.

I am talking about any game types. With them changing a lot with Halo 5, I’m wondering what else in the game types they are going to change or bring.
