Fireteam Osiris was the main team of Spartans in Halo 5. While Blue Team was obviously in there, Osiris got the majority of the missions and screen-time. With Infinite, we’re going back to Chief being the central focus. Of course we have basically know absolutely nothing about the plot and Campaign, so thus we don’t know what’s happening with Osiris. Currently within the story, Buck isn’t part of the team, as he’s leading Alpha-Nine once again. I think that Osiris won’t be in the Campaign myself, though of course I could be totally off. If there are indeed in the Campaign, how do you want them implemented? I think if they’re in it, they should be side characters appearing here and there, mainly Locke. Would you want their armors to be the same or them also getting GEN3 armor and thus a new look? Let’s have some fun!
I’d prefer to see them in Spartan Ops expansion-like missions. Blue team (fingers crossed) and Chief can have the main focus of the campaign for their adventures and Osiris can have theirs without needlessly fighting over screen-time.
As for their look: I’m perfectly fine with their Halo 5 armors. Vale’s armor is especially chef kiss

I really hope blue team is with chief is this game as well, I cant stress enough how much I want this lol.
To the OP, I’m thinking osiris wont be in infinite for the reasons you stated but playing along with idea of if they were I think Armada is on to something with a spartan ops like mode. If they are in the campaign I think they’ll be regulated to cutscenes and radio chatter during gameplay as they go do a seperate objective of the same mission so your “working together” but not during gameplay. Example how Chief, Arbiter?, and Johnson lead assaults on three different towers to bring down a section of the barrier on the level covenant in halo 3. I’d personally like to see GEN 3 versions of their armor especially hunter and helljumper and i’m inclined to believe thats the direction they’ll go in.
Could we have Project Freelancer instead?
As op stated, Buck isn’t in Osiris anymore, so I doubt w’ll see the rest of the squad. However, Vale had spent time on Installation 07. If they include anyone from Osiris it would be her, But I don’t see the need.
As much as I disliked Osiris, I would like to know the status of Vale, Tanaka, and Locke, even if it’s just a quick line of dialogue.

Buck was never confirmed to officially be in alpha nine again, he was just assigned to do one task with them. Didn’t say anything about staying in the squad.
Buck out of Osiris is madness. He barely had missions with them and now he is out. Hope it is just speculation. As for the squad, I would love to have them back again at least for a second campaign mode like Spartan ops. While Chief is doing something, they are working together in another place of the same mission. It is a way 343 can redeem themselves and make them characters for once.
We have seen this before with Palmer, a character with lots of potential that does little and grows nothing in Halo 5. A shame.
Now for the armors, I guess they will keep with what they have. 343 put themselves in a weird situation. Imagine Locke with all that advanced armor now with a retro suit, guess we have to wait and see.
If there was no time jump between Halo 5 and Infinite, then it’d be nice if Osiris received a mention, but with the jump, it’s unnecessary. Locke and Osiris were merely a tool in Halo 5 to view the Master Chief from an outward perspective. Had they received any actual character construction within the game, then it would feel odd to not see them again, but they really only had one purpose in Halo 5’s story, and they achieved it. Their purpose was fulfilled. There’s no reason to see them again.
I’d be stunned if Fireteam Osiris wasn’t in Halo Infinite. Id like to think that co-op will be kicked up a notch allowing up to 8 player co-op meaning players can pick between Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris. Further still, 12 player co-op and allowing players to also pick from The Arbiter and some fellow Sangehili fighters? That’s probably a bit of a stretch but hey, one can dream right?
